Question regarding the lowering of the gaze
Assalamu Alaykum
this question is addressed to Shaykh Yasir regarding the lowering of the gaze. A man is doing his utmost to lower his gaze and prevent himself from the desire that comes from catching sight of a lady. He feels regret and shame each time this happens.Despite his efforts he finds it extremely difficult to lower his gaze, he does sincere istighfar and prays that his gaze will come under his control. He is searching for a solution for this issue. What would be suggested for such a person? May Allah make us firm on the Deen and protect us from all sources of Fitnah...!!! AMEEN.

Jazaka'Allahu Khayran for your sincerity and strive for modesty...Ibn Qayyim in his book Aljawab AlKafee answered this in details...
If you google this title "Twenty Tips for Lowering the Gaze" you shall get a good summary of what Ibn Qayyim said. And may Allah protect you in this dunya and the Aa'khira. |
