as salamu alaykum,
Here is the idea that I had. A lot of people send out emails to their lists, but they don't know how effective it is ... and they might now know how to best word their emails. So ... what if we had standard and effective copy/paste email promotions that one could simply personalize and send to their mailing lists. Maybe even with a special link to see how many people opened and clicked through to the almaghrib website. |

Like the idea about standardizing emails, if it was available, I would definitely use the feature

Re: an idea regarding standardizing our email promos
Do you mean more of a textually standardized email?
There's also an option of having it be a visual type of email. When we were promoting Rizq Management in Ittihaad, one of our tactics included a visually appealing email that we could distribute easily. Br. Said Ketchman came up with this, only it was sliced up, the boxed areas were links, and the body included more text... ![]() I think it'd be good to have similar type emails standardized for each class. It definately helps market the class efficiently and professionally. |

Re: an idea regarding standardizing our email promos
while having standardized emails does make the task easier and efficient, ask yourself this:
Are you more intrigued to check out a link if your friend sends you : -a generated automatic email from the site letting you know that your buddy xyz wants you to see this VS -a personal email that goes like this , 'Assalam'alykum, duuuude, i just saw this amaaazing site. You absolutely HAVE to see this..' :-) |

Re: an idea regarding standardizing our email promos
I love the idea of a visual email. Catchy especially for people who don't like to read or don't have the time to peruse long emails.
Personalized email - good point. I have to agree with that.

Re: an idea regarding standardizing our email promos
I think a combination of both would be useful!!
So when somebody asks, soooo wat is this class about? you say, here, check this email out.. but when you're going to email those who are totally clueless, u may first start with a "duuuudeee" email, followed by the visual (like the one shown above for rizq) email.. ws

Re: an idea regarding standardizing our email promos
Yes, a combination of the two types could work quite well.
Now if only we had that graphic email when our qabeelah took Rizq Management. That looks very professional. BlessedMuslimah, did Ittihaad make something similar when you took Usool Ul-Fiqh?

Re: an idea regarding standardizing our email promos
Bismillah
I agree with Burgundy and BlessedMuslimah. Standard can give the effect of ... "Oh I've seen this before" or "This is like the 10th time I'm getting this email". At the same time, visual effects are a plus because most people are drawn to things that are eye-catching! Something that worked with Fiqh of Love (well, at least I think) was I wrote a simple, to the point poem. Alhamdullilah we had 340 attending that class! Depending on how much time and effort I put into emails, dictates how good my poems get. The poem I used for Fiqh of Love was: Roses are red, Most trees are green. Fiqh of Love is coming to NJ and the age limit is 17. Just my thoughts. This was something unique ... however if it was standardized ... I don't think it would have had the same effect.
