Leadership Conference 2007
Assalama 'Alaykum,
This is mainly to the brothers who are planning the leadership conference. We (the sisters) are aware that there will be a mini AlMaghrib promo during the conference to speak about AlMaghrib and the classes to the audience. Any idea what day, time, or how long that will be? Can we hold a booth on that day (in the lobby)? How many guests do you anticipate? Anything that will assist us in getting the word out. |

the almaghrib promo will be on sunday... exact time is still being worked out.
you can have a booth for the entire weekend, on the condition that some of the AlMaghrib volunteers are available for the organizational purposes of the conference.

Fshareef, of course we will be ready for organizational purposes of the event. This conference was really good last year masha Allah. I agree with Ruqaya that this should be advertised immediately for maximum attendance insha Allah. Can you share the details of the conference yet? Speakers? Anything the sisters can do, please post it, we would be more than happy to participate. Jazakum Allah khair.

the conference dates are Jan. 12-14
the speakers are: omar baloch (yes, the same one that's working with sh. yasir qadhi on a few projects) mohamed dini abdurrahman wood ahmed sidky (ex-vp of MSA national, i think he's also the vp of qabeelat nurayn...?) the theme of the conference is "making things happen" [focused around ahmed sidky's LifePLan workshop, which you guys are gonna love cuz its so awesome!!] conference website is www.BuildingMuslimLeaders.com

I just realized I need to buy 2007 planner after looking at the dates and rushing to jot them down.
Hala, fill us in when you're done brainstorming insyaallah. And of course, call on us volunteers when you need us. AlMaghrib themed something maybe? :P I guess I'll dream and brainstorm on my own and surprise you guys again biiznillah. Won't be the same thing though. Kick it up a notch is the motto here.

i don't know if sidky is vp of nurayn....never heard of anything like that, but that doesn't take away from the fact that 'lifeplan' is the main part of this conf...its off the hook!
