questions for sh. Yasir

Assalamu alaikum,

JazakAllahu khairan sh. Yasir for the awesome TCE class. Please shed some light on the following questions:

1. For all of the major Madaahib, Quran and Sunnah are definitely there in their Usool; the differences are mostly on the acceptablity of "Ijmaa", "extensive use of Qiyas", "Istihsan", "Istihsab" and few other things. My question is what are the Usool of Ahl-al-Hadeeth with regard to Ijmaa, Qiyas, Istihsab, Istihsaan etc.? Are all of these acceptable to this school? or only some of these? or it depends on situation etc?

2. Maqasid al-Sharia; does it play any significant role in deriving Hukm for any Fiqh issue? Because the listing of the Maqasid are purely based on human reasoning, which may be true, but only Allah knows the real purpose and objectives of His Commands and Prohibitions.

Please shed some light on the above.
