Durbah SCHOLARSHIPS from Chain of Command

Insha Allah the tribe of Durbah will be offering eight scholarships for the next upcoming seminar in New Jersey:

1. Durbah Academic Scholarship
2. Siddiqui Chilwan Scholarship
3. IQRA Scholarship for Excellence

The Durbah Academic Scholarship is funded by Qabeelat Durbah. The Siddiqui Chilwan Scholarship & the IQRA Scholarship for Excellence are individually funded.

DURBAH ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

MAXIMUM AMOUNT
1 Course Tuition ($165.00)

NUMBER OF AWARDS
4 Per Course Offering: offered to two male and two female students

DESCRIPTION:
Founded by Qabeelat Durbah,the student tribe of New Jersey. This scholarship has been established to support students who do well in AlMaghrib Institute courses, to continue in their endeavors and to encourage them to increase their knowledge.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
There is no application for this scholarship. You are automatically eligible to be in the running to receive a scholarship by attending & taking the exam.

ELIGIBILITY
In order to receive this scholarship:

• The student must have scored the highest on an AlMaghrib Course Exam. The exam must be taken during the date & location that the exam is first administered at Qabeelat Durbah. Deferral exams of any type do not qualify for this scholarship.
• The scholarship may only be used for the student who has made the achievement and may not be transferred to another student.
• The winners of this scholarship will be notified via e-mail and forums.
• The scholarship will be awarded for the next upcoming Qabeelat Durbah seminar.
• If the student wishes to not accept the scholarship for the next upcoming Qabeelat Durbah seminar, it will be considered forfeited and given to the next eligible student.

SIDDIQUI & CHILWAN Scholarship Fund

MAXIMUM AMOUNT
1 Course Tuition (approximately $165.00)

NUMBER OF AWARDS:
2 Per Course Offering: offered to one male and one female student

DESCRIPTION:
Founded by brother N. Siddiqui and sister F. Chilwan, of Qabeelat Durbah in the year 1428 AH. It has been established on the principle of assisting students in their endeavor to increase knowledge and deen of Islam through the AlMaghrib Institute.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
There is no application for this scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY
The scholarship will pay for any qualifying student for a single course offered by AlMaghrib Institute in full for tuition fees. The student must comply with the following criteria in order to qualify:

• Student must attend all dates of the double weekend seminar in the course offered prior to the next course given
• Student must attend and complete the exam in the assigned exam location on the assigned exam date prior to the next course given
• Student must have attended and written exams in at least 3 Qabeelat Durbah courses
• Scholarship is awarded to the student with the highest exam score from the male and female students (one student from each)
• The scholarship may only be used for the student who has made the achievement and may not be transferred to another student.
• The winners of this scholarship will be notified via e-mail and forums.
• The scholarship will be awarded for the next upcoming Qabeelat Durbah seminar.
• If the student decides to forego the award, it will be given to the next highest exam score.
• If the student wishes to not accept the scholarship for the next upcoming Qabeelat Durbah seminar, it will be considered forfeited and given to the next eligible student.

IQRA Scholarship for EXCELLENCE

MAXIMUM AMOUNT
1 Course Tuition (approximately $165.00)

NUMBER OF AWARDS:
2 Per Course Offering: offered to one male and one female student

DESCRIPTION:
'Iqra' is the first word revealed to our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him); he was told by Angel Jibreel to 'Read in the name of your Lord.' This scholarship has been founded by a Durbah student to increase the search for knowledge and to achieve excellence in matters of the deen.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
There is no application for this scholarship.

I attended as an out of state student and would most probably be taking the exam in my home state inshAllah - can I qualify the scholarship ?

Wa alaykum as salam,

All 3 scholarships require that students attend the July 15th exam in 1 of the 3 locations it is being offered in NJ.
