Definition of Masakeen/Fuqara
Assalamu alaykum
I was wondering whether a case like Aariz - where a child is in such need, would that qualify for zakah or would it be a general sadaqah? jazakumullahu khayra |

I support the opinion that Zakatul Mal (not Fitr) can be given in such cases.

My first question was regarding the pre-treatment fundraising i.e. for the transplant. Now what about funds raised to pay off treatments that have already happened, like the chemotherapy, since that is a debt would that qualify for zakah? |
