Ajr waiting for you outside

"So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.'' (99:7)

I was recently outside.. clearing up the huuuge amount of snow... and my back was hurting... and I felt like just complaining and going back inside.. until I remembered a hadeeth I wished to share with you..

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Iman has over seventy branches, the uppermost of which is the declaration: `None has the right to be worshipped but Allah'; and the least of which is the removal of harmful object from the road, and modesty is a branch of Iman.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Also by Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "While a man was walking, he saw a thorny branch on the road, so he removed it and Allah appreciated his action and forgave him".
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Recently, as most of you know, its snowed quite a bit outside... I was wondering if this applied to the snow... lol so I asked shaykh Isam from Arees and here's how it went:

"I was just wondering one small thing regarding that hadeeth where the least of eman is to remove something harmful from the path, does this also apply to shoveling snow off of the driveway? (it just snowed a lot here)"

The answer i got was: "Yes it's the same since the snow also harms the drivers."

I know its easy to complain about the snow right now lol but just look at it as a ton of ajr just waiting for you Asadis

Re: Ajr waiting for you outside

Thats a fantastic idea!!! Especially if you have an elderly neighbour! Imagine them waking up after a night of snowfall, looking out their window and seeing a nice clean driveway!!

Eid Mubarak everyone, may Allah SWT accept all your good deeds and prayers, Ameen

Thumbs down Re: Ajr waiting for you outside

Assalaamu'Alykum,
What a scammer...Nabil spreads the message and then sits back (sipping on his festivus rooh hafsa) and gathers ajar for everyone that acts upon his reminder...I wish I thought of it first.
Wa Alykum Assalaam
