The Return of Ruhma??
Assalamu alaikum to the AlMaghrib community,
InshaAllah, I hope this message reaches you all in the best of health and iman. As you may have seen, Qabeelat Ruhma of Seattle has been a little M.I.A. That's cos we haven't hosted an AlMaghrib class in over a year! We have just submitted our bid to AlMaghrib HQ, and inshaAllah, we hope to be accepted once again into the AlMaghrib family. Otherwise, we will probably end up in the reject pile, a'uthubillah.  I would just like to thank everyone for your support in the past, and hopefully your support now. Please make du'a for us that we are able to achieve AlMaghrib seminars once again in Seattle for the sake of Allah. With your du'as and with the Mercy of Allah, inshaAllah, we hope that we can gain that knowledge and AlMaghrib environment we are yearning for. If not, then it is with the wisdom of Allah, and we hope that at least we can continue to strive for Islamic knowledge for Allah's Sake. Jazakum Allahu khairan and we hope to be coming back here soon, inshaAllah! May Allah purify our hearts and our intentions, and make us successful in our efforts. Ameen! Wa assalamu alaikum

Alhamdulillah, I'm glad you asked. There are tons of things that people outside of Seattle can most definitely do and one important thing is to make du'a for us, insha'Allah. Nothing is ever possible without help from Allah subhana wa ta'ala, and helping us to ask for that help would be greatly appreciated.
Another thing would be to give suggestions on how to keep ourselves active and enthusiastic. What have your cities done to get AlMaghrib going? How do you keep the community active and enthusiastic about learning about the deen and strengthening imaan? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Jazakum Allahu khairan everyone for your support and insha'Allah, we hope to be part of the AlMaghrib family again soon. May Allah increase our love for each other, and increase our love for the deen so that we may strive harder and harder each day for the highest rewards in the Hereafter. Ameen!

as salamu`alaykum Sr Norlaila,
my sister and bro-in-law live on the south of seattle (I think near Tacoma) -- she heard Sh Yasir Qadhi this time at TDC and alHamdulillah she's flying down to Haadi to attend Light Upon Light this coming weekend. THey have a small but active community, and she really wants to help AlMaghrib there. I gave her Sh AbdulBary's number and my B-in-law tried calling him to arrange something down in their masjid but he didn't get a response. Also she drove up to Seattle twice to see if she could attend Sh AbdulBary's lecture but unfortunately both times Sh AbdulBary wasn't there. InshaAllah I'll give you her contact..maybe you can get something going. wassalam Kamran

Yup, the Northwest! Not just Seattle, but anyone from all the way up in Vancouver BC, down to everyone in Portland and everything in between and all around... make yourselves known in this thread and show your support for Ruhma!
