GEM BOARD WOMEN
- “Sibghat Allah” -- Our Color IS Islam!
- The Muslim ummah does not have problems that need solutions; there is a sickness among us that needs a cure: the cure is to strengthen our eman, starting with establishing prayer; not praying in our bedrooms, but actually waking up our families for Fajr and praying in our living rooms.
- I want to be a Muttaqi! Me too! Me too!
- Nothing in life belongs to you, only what you give in Sadaqah is yours
- The most beautiful thing is that eman, in which we believe in the unseen, comes from a root word amn which means security; in other words it involves no risk. Most people think to believe in the unseen is a “risk” (non-believers that is).
- We’re on a mission and we have things to do!! So let’s move!!
- Allah (SWT) created us and takes care of us; therefore, we OWE Him our worship.
- Do you believe in Magic?
- Umar (RA) asked Hudayfah if he was included in the list of munafiqs. We shouldn’t be so secure of ourselves. “Do the verses apply to us?”
- Maybe we could have a “Clean up your garbage campaign!”
- Following directions is the key to Life + success
- Excuses are the tool of shaytan
- We have no power over our destiny. But we do own the power to make our destiny one with Allah’s will. Then alone can we achieve ultimate success.
- The devil. Shaytan. Iblis. He has very many names. This evil one also has very many games. He has lured people to worship idols and calves. All along sitting and watching with many laughs.
- Allah knows us better than we know ourselves.
- Seek the love of Allah (SWT) and you will be blessed with His love and the love of His creations.
- It’s scary to see that I myself + that I know others that are LOSERS! May Allah forgive us all
- If you are a Muslim – you are never a loser!!
- It’s quite amazing what Islam can encompass. It’s sad that it is only attainable for those who have the will to (very few people). May Allah guide us all to the right path… Ameen
- When in hell, you will feel as if you are in the worst level of hell even if you are in the lowest level… When you are in jannah, the lowest level, you will feel that you are in the highest level of jannah… because of the mercy of Allah
- I want to own nothing but the Love of Allah (SWT)
- In times of ease and abundance it’s harder for us to be patient and grateful to Allah (SWT). Sometimes Allah (SWT) tests us with good fortune.
- It’s wild how it’s so true that a Muslim Child in Islamic school (or any school) knows more about the names of alcoholic companies than they do about the names of sahaba who brought so much to them!
- Alif laam miim. Subhan Allah – it’s so amazing how Allah (swt) captures the attention of the Arabs using their own alphabet – and when they are challenged to write something using what they are most familiar with, they cannot, have not, will not till the end of time. May Allah (swt) continue to guide people in the most powerful of ways. Ameen. J
- Never despair for everything that happens comes to pass in accordance with the divine will- Alhamdulillah
- Trials and tribulations are part of a Muslim’s life. Those who consider it a test from Allah come out of it stronger and wiser and find their end in Jannah. Those who succumb go astray.
- When the people of the ansar said to Rasulullah (S) that they would protect him with their wealth, families, and their own blood- they asked what they would get in return- he replied “Jannah” – they replied “sami’na, wa ata’na” – we have heard and will obey!! InshaAllah we can be like that – of those who hear the command and obey.
- It is amazing what you feel from within when you take a step in the right direction towards Allah. It’s a cleansing experience. As if Allah is giving you a chance to start over.
- Allah is my Lord. Islam is my Life. Al-Quran is my guide. Sunnah is my practice. Jihad is my spirit. Righteousness is my character. Paradise is my goal. I enjoin what is right- forbid what is wrong. Fight against oppression – and will die to establish ISLAM
- While driving to class… it all came to me, the highway was just the beginning of the journey, would I be ready if the sky fell on me that very moment? Would I be ready if all came crumbling today? Where do we – I stand; as a Mushrekeen or Munafekeen? Ya Allah have mercy on us.
- Internalizing Jannah brought tears to my eyes
- Love Allah for He likes to be loved.
- The purpose of life is to have…
- Someone to Love (Allah)
- Something to do (worship and obey Him)
- Something to hope for (His Jannah)
- It’s really interesting to see how Surah Fatihah does relate to the entire Quran – such as Prophet Musa (AS) and his faith in Allah as he asks for His guidance – we also ask for guidance in Surah Fatihah.
- Allah is most equal… the amount of pain you have in life will be equal to in proportion to the amount of happiness you have…
- I’ve been so disappointed in my students lately because I gave them the formula for getting an “A” but they have not paid attention to it and do what they want. Similarly, Allah has given us the formula for getting an “A” of alBaqarah, but I have not been paying attention and just do what I want at times.
- We never realize before that we mimic one another. That makes us wonder, be careful who your friends are. Friends mimic one another as well. Basically, Be Careful who your friends are, for they may determine your ultimate fate, subhanAllah.
- Gain the love of Allah First, then we can get anything: mashaAllah. Ya Allah, please choose us to be the one that You love.
