I had an idea...

...how bout we take the top 25 gems of the class and have different people say each line. Each line is spoke by a different person...video lastingabout a min or two.

for example (taking from the heavenly hues gem thead):

1. "What sky will shade me?
   
2. What earth will hold me?
   
3. If I would interpret one word of the Qur'an
4. without proper knowledge. -- A quote by Abu Bark assiddiq
5. radi Allahu Anhu...when asked about the interpretation of one word,
6. Tafsir is not for the elite
7. every single Muslim is obligated to learn
8. at least the minimum amount of tafsir.
9. The reason the original Arabic language was preserved
   
10. is because of the Qur'an.
11. Every Civilization had a book to make them successful.
    
12. For the Muslim Ummah,
    
13. it was the greatest miracle-
    
14. surpassing technology, and science,
    
15. The final and complete revelation
16. "The Quran"
17. When you consider the "Qu'ran" as the word of Allah,
18. then you will realize its value.
19. Abu Juhayfa asked Ali RadiAllahu Anhuma,
20. Did the Messenger of Allah sallahAllahu aleyhi wasalam
    
21. bestow upon you any "exclusive knowledge"? ...
    
22. Ali responded:
    
23. No, nothing exclusive except for what Allah has blessed me with.
24. Indeed there is a piece of flesh in the body,
    
25. if it is sound, the entire body is sound,
    
26. and if it is corrupt the entire body is corrupt.
    
27. Feeling knowledge in your heart amends all your actions.
28. Absolute evil dosn't exist.
29. Allah SWT is The Source of All Good and Evil.
30. Evil comes as a trial for mankind.
31. And there is always wisdom behind it.
32. Intellectuals have a problem with religion
    
33. because they feel it restricts free thought.
    
34. With regards to Christianity,
    
35. their argument holds some bearing
    
36. as Christians argue you should 'just have faith'. However,
    
37. with Islam, we are order by Allah (swt)
    
38. to think, reflect, and use our minds.
    
39. Islam actually commands people
40. to ponder and question.

This is something I can film during the lunch period and have it out before the end of the day. How bout it?

Masha'Allah, that's an amazing idea! Too bad us sisters can't be on camera.....but I'm sure brothers will do a great job. Maybe you can also have Sh. Yaser also give his own gems/thoughts in the beginning or end of it all.

I wonder if this idea will start a chain reaction throughout the other Qabaail

Awesome idea, mashaAllaah. Maybe have a team put the list together between the brothers' and sisters' gems, and make the overall statements fit together in an even more powerful way.

Idea: Have the first person on screen non-chalantly be holding something in their hand as they say their gem, then they throw what we now see is a "gem" off-screen.
CUT TO the gem being caught by the next person, who says their gem and throws it again
CUT TO someone catching the gem while walking, and says their gem, then throws it
CUT TO someone ...

Having Shaykh Yaser book-end this would be uber-cool.
