Project Revision Revival

The Basics: Project Revision is a student based effort whose goals are to systematically review the information learned in Al Maghrib seminars through weekly online moderated sessions. This project was recently closed, and now a few of the Al Maghrib students are reviving this effort, InshAllah.

The Gameplan: Review 4 classes each year through weekly online moderated sessions.

The Players: Attendees, Qabeelah Representatives, behind-the-scenes crew, and others.

The Details: Pick a class to review. Appoint four qabeelah reps (from cities that have already hosted the class) to work collaboratively in moderating the sessions. Review the class on an online moderated type setup. Repeat.

We vote on the classes to review, and everyone can vote. For the first revision, we are doing Light of Guidance .. the voting already ended but here is the thread: http://forums.almaghrib.org/showthread.php?t=24616

There is something is in the works again, it's a slow moving process. Once it's mostly setup, there will be more concrete information in terms of the reviews.

i'd like to make a suggestion if I may....perhaps we should conduct the online sessions at wiziq.com -- it has a webcame feature, a microphone feature, and a white boar -- one person will be the main speaker and give the mic and/or camera, depending on what people prefer, they might decide to just use the mic instead of the camera, which would work just fine.....so the main speaker would give permission for a student to speak, he could also set up a powerpoint presentation, with quiz questions to keep students in engaged. This is something we've tried at Qnoor and it was very successful alhamdu lillah...I think this is a project that could definitely work amongst qabeelahs....and I for one for volunteer to conduct a review session on any of the classes i've taken:
