Assalamalakum WEDADYS,
I had posted this originally underneath Quran memorization, but I thought I would make a thread for it instead. Tell me what you guys think, if you guys are in, and what initiatives you think we should do: I love this !!!!!!inshallah I have an idea if you and others are up for it, so I don't know if everyone knows but every Qabeelah has a project that they do, different projects such as community service like one called the "Fajr Revolution" to try and compete among masjids to see who can get the most people there for fajr, how about Qabeelah Wedad especially since we just took ROF, we can do something called "The Jannah Pact" where each month we have an initiative that will make us closer to Jannah, for example this month if Sis. Samia2355 doesn't mind we can all memorize Surat Tabrak, and at the end of the month the sisters can meet and recite the surah in front of each other, and the brothers can do that as well (separately of course and the next month we can have some type of community service initiative, something different each month that will have us come closer together, because we are all striving for one main goal in this life: Jannah, and if we can all help each other out and make it easier and at the same time build sister hood and brotherhood then what can be better then that? Also I remembered we learn as well that we are not going to rest until we go to Jannah, this way since we are going to be working we can as Muhammad Alshareef said "we can work "smartly" if we are going to be working so that we can secure Allah's (SWT) Love" If you don't understand what I am saying, I can try and say it in clearer words, inshallahJust in case this idea does go into effect, I have another idea/initiative

I like BOTH of the ideas!! What's next month's initiative, since this month's is memorizing surah Tabarak?

Re: ||The Jannah Pact||
Is it memorizing Surah Al-Baqarah?

I love your enthusiasm Sis. Maheen93!, but let's wait until others respond and then we can plan next month's initiative, but if you have suggestions, please put it on here and maybe we can create some type of sign up sheet and then jump into specifics, thanks guys for the quick response!

sujood4allah, as our ChariTree Director Position is now open I suggest that you take it up. It would be doing much of what you are are already initiating but only officially for Wedad. Feel free to ask about it as I was the previous director. I also love the ideas and would enjoy memorizing suratal mulk with the brothers.

He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving;- الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفُورُ Allathee khalaqa almawta waalhayata liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu AAamalan wahuwa alAAazeezu alghafooru 67:3 He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of ((Allah)) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا مَّا تَرَى فِي خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَنِ مِن تَفَاوُتٍ فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَى مِن فُطُورٍ Allathee khalaqa sabAAa samawatin tibaqan ma tara fee khalqi alrrahmani min tafawutin fairjiAAi albasara hal tara min futoorin 67:4 Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. ثُمَّ ارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ الْبَصَرُ خَاسِأً وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌ Thumma irjiAAi albasara karratayni yanqalib ilayka albasaru khasian wahuwa haseerun

Re: ||The Jannah Pact||
Mashallah Great idea!!! I love how one wedady (maheen93) started this and how the idea was expanded upon by other weadadies. Okay also I think the sisters should meet at one place and the brothers should meet at another at the end of the month to go over their memorization and help each other out with tajweed etc
...so we'll test each other and whoever has the best recitation/memorization at the end of the month we can reward inshallah!!!

Re: ||The Jannah Pact||
Excellent idea!
And it looks like everyone that has posted is on board with this. I also like the idea of focusing on ONE task per month. This will unite our energies and our persons insha'Allah towards the goal of Jannah. Now, if I may suggest, as an organizing idea I think we can use this thread (i.e. The Jannah Pact) to simply provide the link for each month's activity. This way, each activity we do will have its own thread and location. I think that will keep The Jannah Pact thread clean and easy to follow. It will provide a "high-level" location where every months activity is highlighted and a link is available. Makes sense? So this month's activity is Memorizing Surat Al-Mulk. Link: http://forums.almaghrib.org/showthread.php?t=25037 ^All discussion pertaining to this particular activity should happen under the link above (i.e. in its own thread, and not here in this thread) And next month, for example, we can do a ChariTree event (which we have done in the past, so we just continue with another). We'll simply post the link for that here. And that is: http://forums.almaghrib.org/showthread.php?t=21730 And the activity specifics and discussions will, again, take place under that thread. All these activites and events we mention here will fall under the general category of "The Jannah Pact" events, and therefore they will be linked on this thread. And my examples above illustrate that. This way, all wedadies KNOW they can get on The Jannah Pact thread to find a link to the current activity. Lemme know if you guys are following the idea here. Or if you disagree, or need further clarification ![]() My point is to basically just organize the threads and prevent threads that can be "unclear", "confusing", and giong in "too many directions" within a single thread, etc.
