Exclamation Du'aa needed: Muslim baby lost in a fire

Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim

Last night a Muslim family in our community lost their home in a fire. There were 7 children in the family, and as the mother tried to round them up to escape, the youngest got confused and ran in the opposite direction. He did not make it out of the fire, he was 2 and a half years old. The father was at work, and checked in on his family that evening before the fire.

Please make du'aa for this family.

May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala strengthen them, forgive them, and ease the pain of losing their baby. Allahumma Ameen.

Once there are more details in terms of what they need, insha'Allah we can come together as a community and try to help.

Laa illaha IllahAllah, inna lillahi wainna ilayhi rajioun

Ameen to the du'as

I hope that other communities (besides Ottawa's) will be able to help as well - if you can please post any further details for assisting them here. I'm sure we as an AlMaghrib community (and outside of it) would jump to help this family - may Allah subhanaHu wata'ala perserve them in their hardship, and grant them something better than what they have lost. Ameen.

This family has nothing left. They escaped with the clothing on their backs. I am working at the Carlington Community Centre this week and we have set up a trust fund and donation account. Please donate anything you can for this family. The mother is in shock and is not able to speak or respond when spoken to. The father is trying to be strong for his 6 children. You can leave donations at the Ottawa Mosque or drop cash or cheques to the Carlington Community Centre at 900 Merivale Road near Westgate shopping centre.

Clothing, footware and household items etc are being collected at the Caldwell Stronghold at 1465 Caldwell Ave, Apt. 102.

The children's names, ages and genders are:

Khatra Ali -11 year old girl
Mohamed Ali- 10 year old boy
Hawa Ali- 9 year old girl
Hodan Ali-7 year old girl
Mubarak Ali-5 year old boy
Khadija Ali-3 1/2 year old girl

The mother's name is Fatima Hersi and the Father is Abdi Ali.

Anything you can give is so appreciated.
Jazakum Allahu Kheiran

La hawla wala quwata illa billah. Inna lillah wa inna ilayhi raji'oon.

Jazaakumallah khair for the Carlington information. Is there anything in addition to this and dua that people can do to help?

Assalaamu'alaykum Warahmatulahee Wabarakatuhu,

I didn't have too much information to work with, and I apologize for the lack of quality in this eflyer - it was rushed : ( ... but I hope this can help even a little... please send this to as many people on your email list as you can. BarakAllahu feekum.

Also, if there is better and more fitting information to be added, please tell me so I can edit it. May Allah subhanaHu wata'ala assist this family in the best of ways. Ameen
