Sister Saba took the task of finding someone to go.
Insha'Allah she will confirm once she finds the volunteer(s)

Sister Sarah Nasir took flyers to advertise there tonight. But she said she probably cannot go Tuesday.

Thumbs up Re: Marketing Techniques for LUL Lite!

Marketing technique:

The other day after tajweed class I ran into a brother (in his 40s, also taking the tajweed class) and decided to advertise LUL to him:

Me: "Brother, there's another class coming here, its about the Name and Attributes of Allah". I said this as I handed out a flyer card to him..

He nodded as he glanced at the flyer
(He did not seem to know about Almaghrib)

Me: "It's taught by sh Yasir Qadhi.... well known masha'Allah.."

The Brother: (after a second of thinking... ) "Sh Yasir Qadhi??.... the one on Peace TV??"

Me: "Yes, thats him!"

The Brother: "Where? He's coming here? Here in Sacramento for this class?"

I had a big smile on my face as I confirmed with him that Yes, he will be teaching us right here in Sac.

And in the process, I realized how this brother had just taught me a new marketing technique... somethig I knew(that the shaykh has a show on Peace TV Satellite channel)... but had not thought of it as a marketing technique before!

I've been making sure to use it since! At least with everyone that watches or knows about the channel

Re: Marketing Techniques for LUL Lite!

Maybe we can do something involving giving away "lite" candies or something like this, like milkyway "lite" or anything else that's light, but still tastes good.
