Asalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa barakatuhu

Alhumdulilah, we've just finished the second day of LUL with Sheikh Yasir Qadhi who is one of the most eloquent Sheikhs I've ever met. Qabeelat Salaam really enjoys his presence and the knowledge he is sharing with us here down in ATL. Alhumdulilah.

So lets show off our GEMS that have been floating around in our mind thus far, Inshallah.

Every tashbih is takyif but not every takyif is tashbih.

some of my gems:

- In another narration of Hadith Jibreel, the context is mentioned. The Prophet SAWS told the companions to ask, but they didn't ask. Then the man came in and asked all these questions.

- There is only 1 theme common to Iman, Islam, and Ihsan: the importance of worshipping Allah SWT

- Tawheed of Asmaa was Sifaat answers the question: who is my Lord?

- "Know": this command comes several times before Allah's Names and Attributes.

- When you ignore Allah, you become worthless

- All "secular" sciences go back to the knowledge of Allah. All religious sciences go back to the speech of Allah

- When you study Allah's Names and Attributes, you cannot fall into shirk.

- It is not a coincidence that the groups that deviated in Names and Attributes, deviated in Allah's worship.

- To nourish the body we need what comes from the earth because that's where the body comes from. To nourish the soul, we need what comes from Allah because the soul is an order from Allah.

This class Alhamdulillah taught me alot, before I came I didn't know what was behind the Names and Attributes of Allah SWT, but now, Subhanallah!! Some of my gems were...

"Modern Islamists" who say the Quran is outdated or needs to change should realize that just because people are accepting corruptness as the norm doesn't mean the Quran needs to change. It is the humans that should change to fit the Deen set out in the Quran.

The Arsh is the biggest and heaviest creation of Allah (swt).
