Best Reciter to do HIFZ if one KNOWS tajweed?

As'salaam'u'alaikum,

Does anybody recommend a recitor to do hifz with...meaning not to learn Tajweed purposes..

Just specifically to do Hifz?

Husary is too slow...others don't stretch the Madd like I'm used to (the ones that recite fast).

I've been using Mishary so far, but he's lightweight slow too (slow is good overall I know, but to memorize it's easier with a faste reciter).

Experienced people please respond. I'm talking about memorizing..not 4 tajweed! (Of course the reciter recommended should have good tajweed)

‘A’ishah radi Allahu anha narrated:

“Once, when I saw the Prophet in a good mood, I said to him: “O Messenger of Allah! Supplicate to Allah for me!”

So, he said: “O Allah! Forgive ‘A’ishah her past and future sins, what she has hidden, as well as what she has made apparent.”

So, I began smiling, to the point that my head fell into the lap of the Messenger of Allah sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam out of joy.

The Messenger of Allah said to me: “Does my supplication make you happy?”

I replied: “And how can your supplication not make me happy?”

He then said: “By Allah, it is the supplication that I make for my Ummah in every prayer.”
[Reported in 'Sahih Mawarid adh-Dhaman' (1875), and it is in 'as-Silsilah as-Sahihah' (2254)]

wa alaykum assalam wa rahmatullah,

how about:

-Abdullah Basfar
-Tawfeeq Sawa'igh
-Abdullah al-Matrood (maybe he'll be too slow for you)
-Muhammad Jibreel

The more I think about it, reciters with the tajweed recite slow, and the reciters that recite fast sometimes don't implement all the rules..like madd. wa Allahu alam.

Have you heard Abdul Baset Abdus Samad? He is not quite as slow as Mahmoud Khalil Hussary but not as fast as Mishary.

For memorizing I dont think you can find better, wallahua'alam...
Agree.
He is one the Shoyookh of Alafasy.
MashaAllah, AlQari' Alafasy has been blessed with many things, including his strenghth/accuracy in pronoucaitions, and his beautiful voice.
You should try to listen to his recitations in the complete recorded version of the Quran that he did because it is faster than his normal (when he leads salh) recitation.

Everyone has a different style of memorization and I personally don't use listening as a method. And from the advices of the Shoyookh is that one shouldn't jump from a method to another. Stick to a technique that brings you the most benefit.

However, I am not advising you to use two recitors, its actually better if you do one. But tajweed wise, I think Huthaify is good since he is not that slow either.
I second Sh Hudhaifi .....his voice sticks in the head for easier memorization

Sudais, Shuraim, Salah Bukhater are my personal fav when it comes to memorizing. I don't know but something about their voices and recitations makes the ayat cling in my head faster.

for hifz i would not recommend Shuraim, Budair, 'Abdullah Matrood, etc.

ANY of the Taraweeh recitings.

Please take a look at these threads insha'aAllah:
http://forums.almaghrib.org/showthread.php?p=7946

http://forums.almaghrib.org/showthread.php?t=12752

stick to the 4 "REFERENCE" Qari's in Qur'an
(1) 'Alee ibn 'AbdurRahmaan Al-Hudhaifee
(2) Muhammad Siddeeq Al-Minshaawee
(3) Mahmood Khaleel Al-Hosaree
(4) 'AbdulBaasit 'AbdusSamad
