Can it then be made more clear?
As a peer,

However, if again,
you only accept lyrics and their kin,

that even then, I will win.

Ar Rahman, ar Raheem,

Yeah, I know these are not in order, maybe the ameer can fix that with his fancy ameer powers. AMEER, organize this thread if you can!!! Import the actual posts from the contest ideas thread. Can you do that? Is this within your adminie powerie thingies toolbox?

Re: Wedad: The poetry slam..

I really doubt he can import the original posts lol, even if he was top admin on this entire forum.... but what he can do is edit your posts and post them in original order. Allahu Allim

Actually i think they are in order. You did pretty good!
And you've successfully moved the poetry posts, except one: my short response to Rahmatullah's first poem. You might wanna move that down here too.

Oh, and very nice lines of poetry there Dawud.. masha'Allah, I enjoyed it
Lets see how many other poets we got down here at Wedad!

Allah's mercy falling down like rain
Paradise is where you shall feel no pain
Everlasting emaan rush is what you will gain
IWantJannah

A place that is so holy and high
Where Aa'siyah could see above the skies
No more disasters, heartaches or lies
IWantJannah

We hope to walk there hand in hand
To see the beauty of Jannah's land
Our eyes will be set on the sight that is grand

Only hardship and dispair
May Allah protect us from Satan
May Allah protect me, but a man

Leaving home is entering war
Even first stepping out the door
A war of spirit and of flesh
A war where deeds and sin enmesh

The scale is tilting or maybe level
On one side good the other evil
Where is your scale my good brother?
Is it to good or to the other?

So beware of the words we say
Cause it may come that in one way
We say one word that leads astray
That tips the scale of Allah's day

Piety does not come from Prose
Poetry everyone knows
It is not gift to rhyme a line
The Kaffirs do it all the time

So make it sure the words are leading
To a land where there is no bleeding
No tears, no hunger, hardship fleeting
Where hearts will always continue beating

The thirst gone, the joy awaits
When we pass through those widened gates
Or will we fall to our dispair
In a pit, due to lies and airs

What we say has been recorded
So lets not end up deported
I am talking about jannah
Not the lands of the fitna

Do not bow to other Gods
Change not the religion of Allah
Free your money in zakat
Free your soul with two rakat

Don't get lost withing this maze
This life is fleeting, were in a daze
Even simple things are sins
Lets protect each other from within

The war of words is far from over
Ammer Omar has run for cover
Rahmatullah has fired words
Bombs of prose like bullets of Kurds

So when the end comes and the dust will settle
Who will win the golden medal
Reward is only with Allah
These words empty full of flaw

So beware of the distraction here
Reminder goes to one who is near
From the mouth into the ears
This is what we should always fear

Go forth my brothers speak your prose
Of our intention Allah knows
I must go its into Prayer
Without Salat there is dispair

I bid farewell to dunya life
I free my soul from this worlds strife
The four rakat in which I pray
I hope to tip the scales that day

Da'ud
