so i want to be in this group but am confused on what to start memorizing? First I need to review the 29th juzz and some other rukus and suwar. Maybe we can have a partner to recite to one another? this way we can make a schedule and recite a portion every day? suggest ruku/ayaat to memorize really great selection by one of our ulema Taghabun (April) An-Noor ruku 5 (December) finished! Inshallah, brother just pick a surah and start memorizing. The point of the thread is to monitor your own progress as well as motivate yourself (as well as others) to continue memorizing. Surat al Baqarah 1-6 (Even though I was at Haadi eating WAY TOO MUCH FOOD I managed to get another ayat memorized!) And shayk Mohammad Hussein quized me on ayat al-Kursi (I passed the quiz)  Sadly, RizAK did not know what misrah (Egypt) was. Therefore he literally got BEAT DOWN by the Shayk! (No really, the shayk did give him a physical beating in the middle of the masjid!) Everytime I saw the shayk after that I put up my hands (in surrender) and said "Egypt!" LOL Da'ud

I have been trying to memorize surah Yasin. May Allah SWT give me the tawfeeq to finish.
memorized verse 40 today. (maye I should post this in another group?? like group 2 memorization) p.s. I made this thread sticky...hope that helps inshallah.
