Assalamu Alikum WaRahmatullahi WaBarkatuh,

I thought I would start a thread about the and What impact did the 40 nawawi hadeeth have on you? What is your fav hadith ?

Subhana'Allah I would love to post all the ahadeeth for they really touched me in different ways, but this one was special...

Hadeeth #28

عَنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَال:َ وَعَظَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَوْعِظَةً وَجِلَتْ مِنْهَا الْقُلُوبُ، وَذَرِفَتْ مِنْهَا الْعُيُونُ

On the authority of 'Abee Najeeh al-`Irbaad ibn Saariyah - Radiyallaahu `anhu - who said: "The Messenger of Allaah -Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam- gave us a sermon by which our hearts were filled with fear and tears came to our eyes.
فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، كَأَنَّهَا مَوْعِظَةُ مُوَدَّعٍ فَأَوْصِنَا

"So we said: 'O Messenger of Allaah! It is as though this is a farewell sermon, so advise us.
قَالَ: أُوصِيكُمْ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَالسَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ وَإِنْ تَأَمَّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ *

"He said: 'I advise you to have Taqwaa of Allaah - `Azza wa Jall - and to listen and obey, even if your leader were a slave.
فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يَعِشْ مِنْكُمْ فَسَيَرَى ٱخْتِلاَفًا كَثِيرًا*

'Verily, he who lives from amongst you will see much differing.
فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِسُنَّتِي وَسُنَّةِ الْخُلَفَاءِ الرَّاشِدِينَ الْمَهْدِيِّينَ

'So it is upon you to adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs - those who guide to the right way.
عَضُّوا عَلَيْهَا بِالنَّوَّاجِذِ

'Cling to it with your molar teeth,
وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَمُحْدَثَاتِ الْأُمُورِ فَإِنَّ كُلَّ بِدْعَةٍ ضَلاَلَةٌ*

'And beware of Bid`ah (newly invented matters in the Deen), for verily every bid`ah(innovation) is misguidance'."
رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ، وَ قَالَ: حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

Reported by 'Aboo Daawud and at-Tirmidhee, who said it was a good and sound Hadeeth.

Imagine living at the time of the prophet pbuh and his guidance available to you. if you have a question he is there to answer. If you are confused he is there to clear it up. If you feel weak in eman he advises you and encourages you to do good. All of a sudden, all of that is gone, he dies and that clear guidance and aid is no longer there. you are left in a world filled with confusion and chaos.

I can only imagine the deep sadness the sahaba felt when he passed away subhana'Allah.

And sadly i feel many of us muslims are drowning in that confusion and going deeper and deeper due to our differences.

May Allah guide us to the haq, and protect us from all forms of misguidance.

Yeah mashAllah that hadith alsoo really touches me; its soooo deep. And of course i love all the 40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi

And this Hadith Qudsi..from Nawawi's hadiths is just..i reallyy can'tt put it in words...

Prophet(SAW), of what He related from his Lord, magnified and exhalted be He, Who said:
"O My servants, I have made oppression unlawful for Me and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another. O My servants, all of you are liable to err except for those whom I guide on the right path, therefore seek guidance from Me so that I should direct you to the right path. O My servants, all of you are hungry (needy) except for those whom I feed, therefore seek food from Me so that I may feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked (need clothes) except for those whom I provide garments, therefore seek clothing from Me so that I should clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day and I am there to pardon your sins, therefore seek forgiveness from Me so that I should grant you pardon. O My servants, you can neither do Me any harm nor can you do Me any good. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of Jinns become as pious as the most pious heart of any one amongst you, it will not add anything to My Power or Kingdom. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of Jinns become as wicked as the most wicked heart of anyone amongst you, it will not decrease anything from My Power or Kingdom. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of Jinns gather together on a sector of land and all ask of Me and if I were to give everyone of them what they asked, that will not in any way decrease what I have anymore than a needle decreases what is in the ocean when it is put into it. O My servants, these deeds of yours which I am recording for you I shall reward you for them, so he who finds good should praise Allah and he who finds other than that should not blame anyone but himself."
