You recommend not owning a TV? May I ask why? Just wondering. =]

My family used to watch BridgesTv, then they switched over to QTV and GEO. I want Peace TV but I hear you can watch it online live..
Oh, okay. I understand where you are coming from.
I personally enjoy the Discovery Channel, History Channel, and news, or documentaries. But I guess it's better to refrain from the TV because of all the haram on these days.

Re: What Channel does your family watch?

lol my mother got rid of our television set a long time ago (2 yrs out of my small life is along time). but i voted Iqra because when we did have tv we used to watch it for like 20 mins at most.

I feel great without TV like a big crowbar was stuck in my heart and it was yanked out so easily i feel like i could breathe a whole forest. I encourage all of you to do the same, the fitna (not just indecencies but also time wasted n CSI or ABC MAD TV, BET, history channel, spike tv, UFC, ) all just a waste of time when our qurans just sit there and supress their knowledge. When we could be attending lectures, at the masjid, online, or in a home. Wallahi i love having no TV.....
...computer...is a whole notha fitna tho. u can watch tv on it now!

You'd probably need a TV if you still watch DVDs at home. Although you can use a computer for that as well.

I like watching DIY networks, like Food Network and HGTV. But I don't have cable TV anymore, so I hardly watch the TV these days.
