IlmFest 2009?

Asslaamualaikom, so I've been thinking which Qabeelah would be ideal to host Ilmfest 2009...masha'Allah, a lot of Qabeelahs have done exceptionally well this year which makes it a tough job to decide.

So, we've decided to launch a bidding process....only 4 Qabeelahs will be selected to participate in the bid.

Now, the question is, who should be the fortunate 4?=)

why?
-first qabeelah (almaghrib going back to its roots, lol)
-accommodations are easy
-central location for the majority of our qabaa'il (durbah, tayybah, salaam, even canada, etc.)

hopefully some other nuraynian's come here and provide a more convincing argument, lol.

I think everyone wants to come see why Durbah's at the top of the US Qabaa'il... has to be Jersey. Sorry Mobeen :P

Walaykum Assalam,

I think Haadi has proven to be the best candidate inshaAllah:
- highest exam turnout
- high and consistent number of students throughout the year
- excellence in the seminar organization,
- socially active volunteers
- highly skilled and professional environment
- best neighbors: we are the center of California with 2 awesome Qaba'il around us: Wedad in the North and and Haqq in the South
- best locations: we have the world's best universities with Berkeley and Stanford
- best weather: it's sunny all year long (except few exceptions)

Finally, IlmFest never came to the West Coast, so it's about time!

Hands down, NURAYN!!!! Why? B/c we're NURAYN!

For real, we are a very central location to many Qabaa'il: Durbah, Tayybah, Majd, Salaam, Banu Noor, Mubeen, Hayl, and many other states/areas with large Muslim populations.

We have proved that we can go from small numbers to mega numbers, our last class was 500 students masha'Allah!!!

We have an awesome community and volunteer base that is really hard working and gets the job done, we have 2 ameers and ameerahs, the more the better

We can use resourses from Maryland, Virginia and DC, not just one city, but 3 places!!!

We're in the nation's capitol

AlMaghrib started at Nurayn, enough said

We have students from the very start of AlMaghrib, veterans of AlMaghrib, thus we have the wisdom to take it on!
