Re: Sh.AbdulBary - Situation in Vietnam
Assalamu Alaikum
Just a quick story from the time I use to live in Cambodia about the simplicity of its people. There were many Muslim villages in the northeastern part of the country which were not accessible by road. The only way you could get there were by boat. The teachers and I who use to teach there, we called it “Aakhir ad-Dunya” meaning the edge or end of the world. We use to go from village to village making Da’wa on the Weekends (our weekends then were Thursdays and Fridays) when we were not teaching at the school. On one of these trips, on a full moon lit night we were stopped by an old Muslim lady who knew I was from America and asked “Does America have a moon like that?” I told her “No, the moon here is much more beautiful.” I had thought she meant does the moon look as beautiful in America as it does in Cambodia, but as soon as I answered her, she turned to her friend and said, “I told you… they have a different moon!” All I could do was smile. |

السلام عليكم
I am also from Vietnam and I was wondering if there were any information about Islam in the Vietnamese language so that I can pass it on to my parents so that they will understand why I have chosen Islam over Buddhism. شكراجزيلا |

My husband collects money regularly for the poor Muslim orphans, widows and the needy of Vietnam. He is in regular contact with a Muslim Imaam who updates him on any poor Muslim who needs financial help and then will collect money from our local community. Its amazing to see how people manage to get by on very little, and how we become so ungrateful of Allah's blessings which we take for granted. May Allah make it easy for them Insha'Allah, Ameen. |
