It is not fitting that we should follow…

بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
الحمد الله
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

In the era of al Waathiq’s caliphate, Imam Ahmad was ordered by al Waathiq to leave the land where he was and go elsewhere. Ibrahim ibn Hani said, ‘Abu ‘AbduLlah remained in hiding with me for three days, and then said, ‘Find me another place.’ So I said, ‘I do not feel safe for you.’ He said, ‘Do so, since I release you from any blame.’ I found somewhere else for him, so when he left he said, ‘Allah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم remained in hiding in the cave for three days, and then he moved on, and it is not fitting that we should follow the Sunnah of Allah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم in times of ease, and abandon it in times of hardship.’

Lessons to be learnt:

1)Try to remove your brother and sisters from blame and save them from any oppression

2)Sunnah is not to be abandoned in times of difficulty. Always try to follow the Sunnah of Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم even though it maybe be in a tough time or troublesome to do.

Please add more to this small list insha'Allah

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatahu

JazakAllah khair brother for such important info.

Just to remind ourselves about the impotance of following the Sunnah of beloved Prpohet صلى الله عليه و سلم..........Allah سبحانه و تعالى said,
"Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write (i.e. Muhammad SAW) whom they find written with them in the Taurât (Torah) (Deut, xviii 15) and the Injeel (Gospel) (John xiv, 16), - he commands them for Al-Ma‘rűf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm has ordained); and forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islâm has forbidden); he allows them as lawful At-Tayyibât (i.e. all good and lawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods), and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khabâ’ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons and foods), he releases them from their heavy burdens (of Allâh’s Covenant with the children of Israel), and from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them. So those who believe in him (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), honour him, help him, and follow the light (the Qur’ân) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful." (Al-A'raf, 7:157)
