You know the Midlands have got some pretty cool reciters, so don't under estimate this Banu! I have a few in mind... Insha'Allaah. I have to say, masha'Allaah to AlMaghrib on setting this competition, it really raises the bar, looking forward to hearing all the recitations. May it only be for the sake of Allaah subhana wa ta'alaa. Aameen!

Excellent idea...it's about time.
Guys (and gals), I'll be grading 70 % on rules of tajwid and makharij, 30 % on voice. So start perfecting your tajwid rules!!! Can't wait to listen to some 'flutes of Dawud' insha Allah  Yasir |

So this is a Quran competition? Is it a tajweed competition? Or an "Imitate a Qari" competition? (I've never really heard of that before) Can we do other reciters? |
