Bismillah.

Well, I used to wear the niqaab for a short while and I absolutely loved it! But I had several external issues that I was facing but insha Allah, I do hope to put it on again one day!

I think one of the best part of wearing niqaab is that it makes you soooo much more CONFIDENT! I walked confidently, talked confidently and even in class, I was able to raise my hand and ask/answer questions and not have to worry about others seeing my face turn red! (which usually always happened!)

I can be extremely shy, so the niqaab really gave me this empowerment and freedom to be ME. And I don't know why, but unfortunately, I had more men talk to me and say hi to me at grocery stores, malls, etc.

So to all the niqaabis here, make sure you present yourself with CONFIDENCE!! It really makes a big difference compared to a niqaabi walking around as if she's scared or weak. Don't ever make yourself appear to be weak to anyone insha Allah!

Just wanted to share something eventho Im not a niqabi

I had to dp a presentation on the book A Thousand Splendid Suns and in order to make the presentation more effective we decided to role play and to do the parts in Niqaab

And everyone was so taken aback they wanted me to do a demonstration on how I put the whole outfit on (the hijab, jilbab and niqaab) lol ... they were all so fascinated ... and my partner who was non-Muslim who also wore the Niqaab at Q and A time everyone asked her how she felt and she waslike suprisingly I felt much more confident and free ... In my heart I was flipping around in excitement ... Allhamdulillah

Just thought Id share that

Wallahi, if Niqab offers you anything it is the confidence!

Some people think you would shy away from society, or not be able to interact or freely express yourself, little do they know! I found niqabi sisters more outspoken in both Islamic and University classes...I don't know what it is subhanaAllah it's a ni'maa.

The Niqabi sisters also say to just stay away from kids lol.

True said, you gain more confidence! Like you're empowered all of a sudden.
-Alhamdoulilah, it's the best da'wah tool. Random people will stop and ask you about Islam.

-You get to break down barriers and form more of a dialogue with non-muslim.

- People are litteraly forced to focus on your behaviour and actions since they have nothing else to look at.

-Great Imaan booster if you are sincere.

-In my particular case, I have a better understanding of why Allah S.W.T. is also called Ar-Razzaq.

-Alhamdoulilah, it was a cause/effect for many of family members and firends to concentrate more on their islam.

Wearing Niqab ROCKS!
