How do you 'Bribe' with Jannah?
Bismillaah
Lately, I have been contemplating over this a lot. How do you 'bribe' someone who is not strong in their identity of being a Muslim, with the rewards of Jannah? If someone just loves to argue, how do you 'bribe' them to discontinue their habit for the sake of a house in Jannah? If someone doesn't respect their elder and show compassion to the young ones, how do you tell them that it's not the characteristics of those from this great Ummah? Hidaayah is from Allaah 'azza wa jall. If hearts are hardened I understand nothing will have an effect. But for someone who hasn't clearly established their identity, or for those who are just 'getting there' by starting to pray... how do you help them improve their manners? How do you really bribe someone to accept the offer of a beautiful house in the highest part of Jannah so they may do something about improving their manners? Quote:

Try reminding them of death. Work with it in different ways, in sha Allah will work out.

Re: How do you 'Bribe' with Jannah?
If one wants to bribe with jannah, show jannah well not literally but through quran and hadith
i have this awesome book called Jannah:The Garden from the Quran and Hadith by Adem Yakup from Ta-Ha publishers Contents of the Book 1. Blessings Allah SWT has prepated for the people of jannah 2. Abundent wealth of the Garden 3. Beauty of the Dwellings of the Garden 4. food of the garden 5. human beauty in the Garden 6. Natural Beauty of the Garden 7. Fragrant Aromas of the Garden 8. The beutiful voices and conversations of the garden 9. eternal life and youth in the garden 10. in the garden all desires are fulfilled 11. the people of the garden are close to allah 12. the garden is from allah's justice 13. the qualities of the people of the garden 14. experiencing the joy of the garden 15. allah is the only absolute being Okay this might take some effort, but our Quran teacher made us do this...and its SUCH an iman booster. We made "jannah scrapbooks" in which we put anything that would motivate us to strive for jannah, things that we want in jannah, what we imagine our jannah to be like, after all the wished of the dwellers of jannah will be accepted, inshallah...they turned out SOOO beatiful...some people put in beautiful flowers, ayaat/haadith about jannah and then put relevant pictures, one sister made the first page golden gates of jannah, ...having made it and having that visual made a lot of us question ourselves what we now have to do to get to it...

Re: How do you 'Bribe' with Jannah?
Assalaamu 'alaikum,
I have some suggestions that might work insha-Allah but this isn't really a direct answer to your question... just a different manner in which you could approach the issue Try approaching the problem directly, but in an indirect way..for example 1. Focus on strengthening the person's relationship with Allah subahanhu wa ta'ala 2. Work on prayer, insha-Allah more khusoo' in salah will have affects in other parts of their lives as well 3. Try talking about good characteristics in their presence by possibly referring to others who might be used as an example or discuss the rewards for having good character etc. or ahadeeth/ayat concerning this in front of them or with them in a way that doesn't necessarily point at them 4. Ask them for suggestions about how to give someone else naseeha in the same type of situation, it might get them thinking about themselves without you doing it for them 5. If you do want to talk about Jannah and take that route, then couple that conversation with talk about the transient nature of this duniyah. In my opinion you might not want to start by directly "bribing" them with Jannah because if they get defensive (which is a possibility) that might just turn them off from the entire conversation... again, depends on the person as well. and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala knows best insha-Allah these are of some benefit |
