Re: The Millionaire who went to Jannah

Volume 4, Book 56, Number 836:
Narrated 'Urwa:

That the Prophet gave him one Dinar so as to buy a sheep for him. 'Urwa bought two sheep for him with the money. Then he sold one of the sheep for one Dinar, and brought one Dinar and a sheep to the Prophet. On that, the Prophet invoked Allah to bless him in his deals. So 'Urwa used to gain (from any deal) even if he bought dust. (In another narration) 'Urwa said, "I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "There is always goodness in horses till the Day of Resurrection." (The subnarrator added, "I saw 70 horses in 'Urwa's house.') (Sufyan said, "The Prophet asked 'Urwa to buy a sheep for him as a sacrifice.")

I'm loving this hadeeth masha Allah... My friend [Ruqiyo] told me how she started a really successful ice cream business when she lived in Yemen... she was only 7 years old! She started exactly the same way Urwa radiya Allahu anhu sold and bought the sheep!

Narrated Urwah ibn AbulJa'd al-Bariqi: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) gave him a dinar to buy a sacrificial animal or a sheep. He bought two sheep, sold one of them for a dinar, and brought him a sheep and dinar. So he invoked a blessing on him in his business dealing, and he was such that if had he bought dust he would have made a profit from it.

Narrated Hakim ibn Hizam: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) sent with him a dinar to buy a sacrificial animal for him. He bought a sheep for a dinar, sold it for two and then returned and bought a sacrificial animal for a dinar for him and brought the (extra) dinar to the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him). The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) gave it as alms (sadaqah) and invoked blessing on him in his trading.

Both in Sunan Abu Dawood, book 22.
Jazakum Allahu khayr for the hadith. I had it in mind throughout the entire speech, yet didn't use it.

There is a story that I have connected to this hadith that I wanted to mention in the powerwebinar. Who wants to hear it?
