New Seminar!!!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Asssalmu Alaikum all.

I will be teaching a new seminar soon insh'Allah.

It will be "Tafsir Juz' Tabarak (29)" which mainly covers the themes of

the Day of Judgment and
the Final Destination of the Human Journey.

Kindly share your inspirational thoughts about:

What do you expect in such a seminar?
A title for the seminar?

Re: New Seminar!!!

Assalamu Alaykum

Subhanallah, Juz Tabarak is one of my absolute favourite Juz simply because of it's emphasis on the Day of Judgement and the grave.

I would expect in-depth explanation of the kind of people in Day of Judgement (i.e. surat mulk speaks of people who wished they had given Islam more thought, etc) Speaking of surat Mulk, I heard from in a seminar that if one recites it before going to sleep every night, they are exempt from the punishment of the grave...

I like knowing facts like that, very practical

I'm not very good at naming things... I'll leave that to our more creative brothers and sisters on the forum.

Re: New Seminar!!!

Asalamou Aleikoum,

Masha Allah ! That sounds like a wonderful new seminar, I love anything that involves softening the heart and strengthening our belief (pillars of iman) and information or tips that we can apply in our daily lives, such as the benefits of reading surat al-mulk before bed. Thanks for that tip For Allah Alone.

Jazakallahu Khairan

Assalam Alikum

What a great idea.. Recently in Ottawa we held a series of Seminars on the Day of Judgement and Hayat Albarzakh and we called it The End of Time: When Life Begins..

A variation of this name can be very suitable..

wassalam

Re: New Seminar!!!

asalaamu alaykum Dr. Reda

I would like to suggest an activity to you. During "Master your emotions" sh. Muhammed did an exercise with us "journey to Hell and Heaven" where he made us stand up and visualize each step we will go through. I found this to be super beneficial and I think everyone else did too. Maybe you could talk to him about it and he can give you the specifics of how to do the exercise.

I enjoyed your mini seminar in Ottawa a while back and I'm looking forward to your class.
