Materials for the Class

Assalaamu'alaikum

Sorry if this was already mentioned somewhere else, I was looking around for somewhere where this might be answered but didn't find anything. So I was wondering, is there anything specific we need to bring to this class? Such as a Qur'an with translation and a little bit of tafseer, or a tafsee book? Or the 3 books we were supposed to read to prepare for class?

JazakAllahkhair

Assalamu Alaikum

I'm not sure what we need to bring to class, but I was wondering, do you have that book "How to Approach and Understand the Quran" By Jamal al-Din M. Zarabozo?? And, have you or anyone reading this post read it?? Anyways, the email today about the class didn't mention anything we need to bring, so I guess if there is anything, we'll be alerted in class the first day..

W'Allahu A'lam

Also, for the pre-homework thing, I absolutely can't figure out what is meant by "where did it all begin?" If anyone knows which ayah(s) that's found in, please let me know...and explain, if possible what that means.

(CHECK UR EMAIL Machlee, its reaaallly important.)

In sha Allah, the binder will have the Arabic and the translation in it. You'll be able to take notes on the side.

You can find the recommend stuff on the student center link of the AlMaghrib.org website. In sha Allah.

Re: Materials for the Class

As salaam wa alaikum,

Just a side note- it would be really helpful if you fill in the chart with the topics beforehand. It will help you to get a "taste" of what is to come in the class and I think you'll be more prepared inshaAllah. (That's optional of course).

And I'm not sure if I'm allowed to answer about "Where did it all begin" but if you look in the Surah, there are ayats that talk about the "beginning". I hope that helps inshaAllah.

InshaAllah I hope you all enjoy the class and benefit- I know that we did alhumdulillah and this class gives you a LOT of opportunites to act upon the knowledge you gain.

Jazakullahu Khair for that information. I did fill out the chart with the topics, and Alhamdulillah it is helping so far with the class. We just finished the second day of class a few hours ago.

Although I didn't get that specific slot filled in until today..it turned out alright..I understand what it meant by "the beggining."

In sha'Allah we will benefit from the class as ya'll did, and take the oppurtunities and act upon the knowledge we gain.

Jazakullahu Khair.
