¿Questions from LOG?... Durbah Conference Call with Shaykh Yasir!
Have questions from LOG that weren’t answered (we know you do because there were lots of question papers left over after class)? Looking for answers to questions that came up during studying? Or just simply miss Sh. YQ’s tangents? Call in with the Shaykh… PRE-EXAM CONFERENCE CALL With SH. YQ What better way to study than with the teacher himself? 9.30pm Wednesday, April 8th ·All questions must be posted on this thread or emailed to exams@durbah.org before 9:00am Sunday, April 5th ·No questions will be allowed on the call itself. Sh. YQ will only answer questions that were submitted to him beforehand via this thread ·All questions must be related to Light of Guidance Material Note: No discussion should be done on this thread. Please post only questions here. These questions are only for Shaykh Yasir to answer in the call, not for anyone else.

I'm not sure if this was covered in class, but what about books that fantasize magic? Card trick books, Harry Potter, etc. Are we allowed to read them for fun, or no, since the fortune cookies are a no-no if you wanna read the fortunes?
I remember the Catholic Church made a big deal of it a few years ago, and I've always wondered what the Islamic position is.

We sort of covered this in class, but I am still confused on this controversial matter:
Is evolution compatible with Islam? -I know that humans did not evolve and they were directly created by Allah, but I am confused about how species evolved over time. Is this not compatible with Islam?

1. can you define once again general and specific rubobiyah, and please provide examples for each. 2. If one has doubts in Islam, but is strongly trying to fight these evil thoughts(because of fear, they lack certainty) and are not uttering their doubts, are they still Muslim? |
