Br. Nouman back in NY

[HalaTayybah]

First ayah says "Alhamdu lillahi, rabb il 3alameen"
First, illah is mentioned, Allah. Then, rabb is mentioned.

(rabb-> 'abd is like Teacher -> student)

In the first ayah, we are told who our Lord is and what our relationship to Him is; a slave to a master.

Also, Allah tells us what is becoming of Him; praise. Therefore He tells us how to praise Him by saying "Alhamdulillah."

People always say, "Why are there so many diseases in the world if there is a god?"
They never say, "Why do I have eyes/arms/etc. that work if there is a god?"

Logically it's the same source for both but they pick the negative one and attribute it to Him and Him alone.

Think of a master. If their slave is disobedient, what would they do?
Punish them right away, right?
Allah is no regular master. Even He acknowledges that there are some who will not believe no matter what and yet He gives them a house to live in, a family to enjoy, and all they desire in the worldly goods. And if years and years and years later they repent, He won't say "Oh it's too late for that now." He forgives them, and then all their sins become hasanaat.

Truly, Al Rahman- The incredibly Merciful

But then you have:

"Why don't you pray?"
"Aww, man Allah is al ghafoor al Raheem! Plus there's all sorts of criminals out there. Why wouldn't He let me slide?"

To keep us from the above mindset we have the next ayah:
"Maalik yawm al deen."

This reminds us of the Day of Judgment when all our deeds will be given to us and He will be the Master so just when we get thinking like that, we are stopped short.

It's a Tayybah thing, we ALWAYS rock the gems, mashaAllah.

Students from Tayybah consistently go to Durbah and out-gem them in their own house. ... Ahh...flashback to Heavenly Hues when Shaykh Yaser Birjas came in one morning saying to Durbah that he went on the forums and saw that most gems were from Tayybites.
