ILM SEEKERS

ILM SEEKERS is an initiative we students from Qabeelat Al Shams set up after completing ILM SUMMIT 2008. We like many others tried to give back the knowledge gained to our local communities.

we are about to start our 5th session inshAllah, and is and will be an ongoing process bithnillah which we will be carrying on after this year also.

alhamdulillah, slowly with some hard work we have managed to get this far.

here is what we have done so far.

Masha Allah, the posters are amazing... what I like the most though is how it's a one day event not a weekly halaqa... this way you have more chances to start and complete with the same number of students...

Please share with the us more details about how it was conducted, how the attendees liked it, and overall how successful it was... Jazaakum Allah khair and may Allah bless your efforts...

But jazakAllah. it does take some hard work, but alhamdulillah by making dua and and having faith in Allah we're able to do the best of our ability.
Previous sessions have been good. many enjoy and do learn a lot alhamdulillah

usual lesson structure;

Adab Al Ilm (Etiquettes of Seeking Knowledge)
Session 1 (First Brother)
Break Zuhr Lunch
Session 2 (Second Brother)
Conclude Q&A + Feedback form to be filled

we always start with Adab Al Ilm because thats exactly what we did at Ilm Summit.

We design and make powerpoints to present to the class. We give out handouts for the students to take notes.
And some small minor refreshments during the day.

we are in process of making it shorter like our next class which will be held tomorrow. Rather then it being a full half day, its just a few hours alhamdulillah.

It also depends on the topic being presented as some like the lessons 1,3 and 4 are difficult subjects so they do require more time.

all in all ILM SEEKERS is enjoyed. But our next class will be one of our biggest inshAllah as we have more students attending.

alhamdulillah with this class coming up, we were fortunate enough to meet sh Isam Rajab who happened to be here in the UK a few days ago so we were blessed to go through the knowledge we gained from him in preparing our class for tomorrow.

and alhamdulillah Sh Yasir and Sh Isam know of our lessons and are pleased
we always try to invite them but they always come and go before or after the session haha.

we shall as requested try to take some photos if we can.
