Re: Sr. Noor: Dua'as & inspirational works.

MashaAllah!
It's late. Let's say about 1 in the morning, but my eyes were glued to the screen.
Reading everyone's comments just brought back a rush of memories of Noor.
Her insane driving to the seminars and the way she would speak up whenever she saw something wrong.
I'll be eternally grateful for not only her wisdom but her reliability in bringing those chargers to every seminar for our computers.
May Allah forgive her sins and make her grave spacious and full of the noor she was to us.
Ameen.

But subhan Allah, there's so many things to be happy about for Noor.

A) She died in the last third of the night (Said to be a sign of the good end)
B) She had around 500 people praying for her at her janazah and countless others making du'a over her (The beauty of the brotherhood and sisterhood of Islam)
C) I was speaking to one sister today and she pointed this one out, barak Allahu feeha. She was speaking of Allah subhanahu wa ta'aalah's wisdom in the timing of her death. If He had taken her earlier on in her life when she had yet to commit her time to the deen as she did later on, we don't know what she would have faced or what would have happened to her. And if He took her a few years down the road, we don't know what trials could have come to hurt her iman or anything else like that. He took her at a time when she had so many things to be thankful for, things a lot of us are still praying for, and indeed she was.
Her tawakkul in Him and His decree was so high and it was evident in her actions and her words.
(And truly for those who knew her, how many times have we heard her say about a situation, "Don't worry about it! Do what you can and the rest is up to Allah!" or something similar?)

Subhanallah.

And as for her death being a reminder, how many times have you heard "Oh I'm going to get more religious at the end of/later in my life" only to hear that the person died before they got to do so.

Sr. Noor was granted this and she had no idea she was close to the end. She just did it and hoped for the best from Allah.

I don't know if that made sense but I'll stop here anyway.

She was amazing and she will be missed but I can't help but smile because she was amazing and she will be missed by many and remembered by many. To leave behind so many people who you know will pray for you is a beautiful example of Allah's mercy and in sha Allah, it is an example of His love for her.

Alright I'm done.
Alsalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
Somebody was just telling me how shaytan tries it hardest & best to misguide those who are on their death bed. Subhan Allah , Sr. Noor was free from the whispers of shaitan & even if she could hear him.. she didn't speak or do anything.. cuz' she was unconscious. Alhamdulilah.. May Allah[swt] raise *her* & *us* among the righteous ones. Ameeen!

Re: Sr. Noor: Dua'as & inspirational works.

Ameen to all the du'as.

I remember two sisters visiting Ottawa for Torch bearers last year..and I remember saying to both the sisters ecstatically: "OMG New York? I love you guys! But what about the accents?!" Subhannallah, although I don't remember their faces (and one of them was sister Noor)...but I have this snapshot image that I will always remember! Ahh I digress!

I didn't know sister Noor personally, but again, but her departure brings both tears of sadness and happiness to my eyes. Sadness that such an amazing sister has left us, and happiness that everyone has testified to high level of character she had.

My father always says this at every taraweeh, and I always remember it when someone dies:

"Don't think that Ramadan is guaranteed for you every year. There are plenty of brothers and sisters that didn't make it to this one, what makes you think you'll make it to the next?"

Re: Sr. Noor: Dua'as & inspirational works.

Assalaamu alaikum,

I read on an earlier post that Sr. noor might have had some debt, does anyone know if she still does? If so, can someone please provide an address or something so that brothers and sisters can help support this cause of taking care of the debt?
I tried emailing tayybah but havent gotten a response as of yet, so i thought i would post on the forums...

JazakAllah khair

waAlaikum Alsalam waRahmatullahi waBarakatu

May Allah reward you and everyone else that emailed for their intentions. MashaAllah we originally had received over 20+ emails, and 40 since the day she passed, Its an amazing feeling that the ummah still sticks together as a family, Alhamdulilah

After a person passes away, some remaining debts are pardoned and some arent- so please give us a few days to figure it out and inshaAllah we should be getting back to everyone as soon- as we know, and from that will act accordingly.

Jazaana wa iyaak

Ameen.
And for typing up the book for each seminar so those who were on laptops could take notes in a virtual book/and used as the skeleton for PPN. I remember her passing around her USB whenever she spotted a laptoper...May Allah (swt) accept it from her....may she be rewarded for each letter for all those who benefited from her work...

Re: Sr. Noor: Dua'as & inspirational works.

may allah bless Noor even though i've said this already it still somehow feels like i didn't. just like how i told my mom n sister about her death more than once, thinking each time i see them i didin't tell them about her and each time they keep saying "faiso you told us already may allah forgive her" point is if i keep thinking about her and i never met her, wonder how those who met/knew/and lived with her are dealing with this. may allah give those who knew her sabr and may allah remind us of death all the time. this thread is walaahi beautiful. sometimes i leave here motivated sometimes scared thinking would i be blessed like this or would i be doomed, sometimes i am happy for Noor that she died when she was in love with the deen and had ppl that loved her and the fact that she never met any hypocrates and sometimes i am sad that i never got the chance to meet her.

I ask you all to remember me when death reaches me like you all remembered my wife. If any of you benefited from my wife in anyway please pass it on and tell them to pass it on etc.. Also please ask Allah to reunite me, my wife, and baby in Jannah tul firdos al ala and i hope and pray for the same for you all ameen! Jazzallahukhrian!

Bismillah, Asalamu Alaikum waRahmatullahi waBarakatu
It was narrated that in the days that Musa (Alahi salaam) wandered with Bani Israel in the desert an intense drought befell them. Together, they raised their hands towards the heavens praying for the blessed rain to come. Then, to the astonishment of Musa (Alahi salaam) and all those watching, the few scattered clouds that were in the sky vanished, the heat poured down, and the drought intensified.

It was revealed to Musa that there was a sinner amongst the tribe of Bani Israel whom had disobeyed Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) for more than forty years of his life. "Let him separate himself from the congregation," Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) told Musa (Alahi salaam). "Only then shall I shower you all with rain."

Musa (Alahi salaam) then called out to the throngs of humanity, "There is a person amongst us who has disobeyed Allah for forty years. Let him separate himself from the congregation and only then shall we be rescued from the drought." That man, waited, looking left and right, hoping that someone else would step forward, but no one did. Sweat poured forth from his brow and he knew that he was the one.

The man knew that if he stayed amongst the congregation all would die of thirst and that if he stepped forward he would be humiliated for all eternity.

He raised his hands with a sincerity he had never known before, with a humility he had never tasted, and as tears poured down on both cheeks he said: "O Allah, have mercy on me! O Allah, hide my sins! O Allah, forgive me!"

As Musa (Alahi salaam) and the people of Bani Israel awaited for the sinner to step forward, the clouds hugged the sky and the rain poured. Musa (Alahi salaam) asked Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala), "O Allah, you blessed us with rain even though the sinner did not come forward." And Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) replied, "O Musa, it is for the repentance of that very person that I blessed all of Bani Israel with water."

Musa (Alahi salaam), wanting to know who this blessed man was, asked, "Show him to me O Allah!" Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) replied, "O Musa, I hid his sins for forty years, do you think that after his repentance I shall expose him?"
