Lessons in Akhlaq from Sh. Shpendim

Assalamualaykum, I can't help but compose a list of the points of Aklaq taken from Shaykhs mannerisms. As we learned back in LOG, the scholars used to study manners the way they studied Ilm. So, Bismillah!

On the second sunday, the Shaykh was asked a question which was asked earlier in the day. While students murmred.. "this was asked earlier," the Shaykh went ahead and answered the question again but in a different way more emphatic than before.

When a younger student blurted out, "Shaykh why do you have to put us down..." The Shaykh apologized and gave him a cupcake, and this is one of the many examples where he gave the young amongst us their right. SubhanAllah the Shaykh constantly sought to fulfill the rights of every student.

Note: The Shaykh was merely giving an example of the power of Shaytaan over us at times, and the younger student took it the wrong way.

In one of the many instances where he was making a powerful point regarding the Day of Judgment he got kinda loud and at the end of his statement...a baby cried. He responded, "Sorry baby."

When the shaykh asked if we have ever seen the way foxes move, a young boy raised his hand. The shaykh asked him, "Do they move in a straight line or dart in zigzags from place to place?" The child answered, "In a straight line." Instead of saying, "No, actually foxes are very stealthy and they dart from place to place," Shaykh Shpendim said, "Yes, sometimes they can do that."

This way the child did not feel bad at all and we also learned something about akhlaaq. SubhanAllah- may Allah (subhanahu wa taala) preserve and increase our shaykh and his family. Ameen.

Shaykhna came around to the sisters side so one of the sisters could answer a question and instead of just handing the mic to her to speak in it, he asked if she was ok with speaking in the mic. May Allah bless him and increase him.

One of the older students was reciting a part of the surah and he kept going beyond what was on the slide and he stopped reciting after he realized he went too far, and the shaykh said, if you like I can come back to you to finish the recitation of the surah inshaAllah.

When a baby started crying and making noises in class, shaykhna instead of asking for him to be taken out of the class said, "Is that so-and-so? He's taken more almaghrib classes than I've offered." And continued on teaching.

Subhanallah, he was a great example of manners and akhlaq.
I remember at the end of the seminar when the ameer was speaking on the mic, we look up at the Shaykh's table and...........where'd he go?

Looking to the right, we found him sitting amongst the rest of the students and listening intently to what the Ameer had to say.
