One of the ways that was mentioned by Shaykh Navaid to increase our Khushoo' in our Salat (as we can see in other posts here) was to vary the adhkaar that we make within our Salat.

He mentioned one Du'a al-Iftitah (which is basically the du'a that we make after the opening takbeer and before starting recitation) that is not commonly taught or used which was:

‘O Allaah, distance me from my sins just as You have distanced The East from The West, O Allaah, purify me of my sins as a white robe is purified of filth, O Allaah, cleanse me of my sins with snow, water, and ice.’

How do you develop Hayaa?

by constantly repenting
getting educated about the Deen
remembering that Allah (SWT) is ALWAYS watching --> make a sticky note on your cell phone...
by emulating those who have Hayaa

In the Quran, Allah SWT uses the term "emaan" to refer to "salah"
So protect your salah and protect your emaan!

Knowledge never humbles itself to someone rather we humble ourselves to knowledge.

Meaning we have to go seek the knowledge.

How much effort will you put in to seek knowledge and come closer to Allah?

What did/will we accomplish at 18?
At 25?
At 30?
Before we die?
