Once Abu ‘Ubaydah told ‘Umar to wear better clothes since he was the khalifah. ‘Umar said he would have tolerated that statement from anyone else besides Abu ‘Ubaydah, this is because he was considered those given the glad tidings of Jannah. ‘Umar told Abu ‘Ubaydah, “If we find success in anything other than Islam, then we will be humiliated.”

Imam Nawawi's apartment had no place to sit because it was filled with books and looked similar to book warehouse. We have book warehouses too. But it is only collecting dust and is for a show off. This made me think how we buy books and cds over and over again but how many of us actually take time out and make sure we read or listen to it instead of it collecting dust?

Allah blessed Imam Nawawi's time with blessing because of sincerity. We can find better time management as well, we gotta have sincerity. Prophet[saw] used to AstaghfurAllah 100 times a day. When was the last time we said AstaghfurAllah 100 times? Make Dhikr in Traffic. It takes only 3 traffic lights to say AstaghfurAllah 100 times and if you are on a subway, then you can say it 1,000 times..
