If someone doesn't have on a good outfit today, just shut up!

What good would it do to mention it?

Maybe all his clothes are dirty and the only thing he could find was "a pirate costume from the 80's."

Re: Sacred Scrolls || Q.Tayybah GemzZzz

When you have a class that's tough and not everyone gets hundreds in, they give you a curve so that an 88% can become a 100% grade and so on.

What ruins the curve is when one or more people get a real 100% on the test. Then the professor goes, "It is possible since these people did it."

In that way, Muslims ruined the curve for the People of the Book when it came to worship of Allah, iman & etc.

Big rewards come from big actions.

You want to be forgiven by Allah?
Forgive those brothers or sisters of yours who hurt you.

The shari'ah prohibits those acts that create hatred (slander, backbiting, undercutting in business, etc.) and COMMANDS the acts that enjoin the good (spread the salaam, give gifts, don't just say thanks but ask that Allah reward, bless or brings good the person {"Jazakum Allah khair", "Barak Allahu feekum"}, etc.)

Ali ibn Abi Taalib radhi Allahu 'anhu used to be afraid of following temptations because they block out the truth & excessive hopes because they make one forget about Allah subhanahu wa ta'aalah.

How many times have you heard: "Oh I wanna go here and I wanna do this and I wanna buy that and I wanna swim with dolphins and etc."?

"Can you swim with dolphins in the Hereafter? Yes!"

You can do it all in the Hereafter but you just have to work to get the place where you can do this [i.e. Jannah].........

Then you can play.

'Abdullah ibn 'Umar radhi Allahu 'anhu used to ask the little children to make istighfaar for him.

Why?

Because they were still pure.

They hadn't sinned yet as they hadn't hit puberty yet so their du'as would be more susceptible to being answered.

Only someone serious about istighfaar would find ways like this to aid them, subhan Allah.

People don't like for anyone to rock the boat. Therefore, if your community is involved in something you'd like to correct, approach them with knowledge, wisdom and patience.

Don't just yell "haraam" towards an action they are doing, and think your work is done. If you do that, you haven't taken care of your task the right way.

Don't miss any opportunity to help one another. KNOW that the smallest thing can weigh heavily on the Day of Judgment.

Part of Dr Ali's beautiful advice:
DON'T let these feelings dissipate.
Go through your notes and apply this knowledge.

SubhanAllah! That's what I was thinking on Friday when I had to shovel out the snow from our driveway. Then my parents encouraged my brothers and I to shovel the snow of our neighbor, who is an old lady with no family. Long story short my brothers and dad had to go to Jumm'uah and I was left to finish our house and the neighbor's. At first I thought, "It's soooo much to shovel and the snow is so heavy! How will I get done? When will I get done?!" But then I remembered how we shouldn't miss an opportunity for khayr.

By the barakah of Allah azzawajal it didn't seem that bad when I was done! Alhamdulillah.
