It's interesting how the galvanizing of steel was invented by Dhul Qarnain to prevent rust, and in our times it was patented about 100 years ago.

When asking about a matter choose carefully from the people of knowledge who comprehend the particular circumstances well (.. otherwise the saddles that kill more people than war are would be forbidden for use).

One cannot expect to escape the trials and tribulations as they will come like nightfall there will be no area left without darkness.

To bring beauty and clarity to an explanation use opposites.

It may be that Allah ('azza wa jall) will bless the ummah through guiding a scholar to an understanding that is not known from previous scholars but holds high merit.

Re: Echoes from Hosna - Gems from Tafseer Surat AlKahf

So do not let wealth spoil you. One of the mufasireen said Qataada is the dream of this world. If you correlate it to our time, you would call it the American dream. So this person Allah is describing is the person living the American dream.

When the Prophet (saaw) received a goat, they began to distribute the meat. Aaisha (ra) said they distributed everything and there is nothing left except the shoulder bone. The Prophet (saaw) said, “Nay, nay. Everything is left except for that.” Meaning that is the only part we have and the shoulder bone we don't have. So whatever you give in this life will be wealth for you in the akhira.

So you as Muslims should not give that which you do not like. Give the best part. True faith is when you give the things that you like. That is why Allah (swt) says, “You will never attain piety until you spend from that which you love.” That is why every time Abdullah ibn Umar came across this ayah, anything he liked the best he would give away.

^ I know. Makes you want to be more generous.

The story of the two companions is a great example as how to give dawah

Having sincerity will lead to aversion
from trials, tribulations, and diversion

Knowledge will slowly embrace
those who do not seek it in haste
