Re: //*\\ Qabeelat Ittihaad GEMS //*\\
Imam Ahmed, Musnad (1/391), and others reported upon the authority of Ibn Mas'ood that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alahi wa sallam) said: "No slave is afflicted with anxiety and grief, and then says: 'O Allaah, I am Your slave, son of Your male slave, son of Your female slave. My forehead is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is assured and whatever you have decreed for me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You have named Yourself with, revealed in Your Book, taught one of Your creation or which You have preserved in the knowledge of the Unseen with You that You make the Qur'aan the spring of my heart and the light of my chest, a banisher for my grief and a reliever for my anxiety.' Except that Allaah will replace his distress and grief with joy." He was asked, 'O Messenger of Allaah, should we not learn it?' He said, "Of course, whoever hears it should learn it." The heart without the Quraan is like Winter: cold, depressed, dead, empty... Spring on the other hand is filled with joy and color, happiness and optimism...How can the Quraan be a spring to our heart? A light to our chest? By living by it, applying it, constantly being in a conscious and aware state of applying the quraan in our daily life...

SubhanaAllah, while the term "slave" is associated with so much negative connotation, it is in fact the most prestigious name of the Prophet peace be upon him... عبد
This is because it is the pinnacle of what the prophet peace be upon him was and represented, the true fulfillment of his prophecy...A slave of Allah!! We're all slaves. That's not the question. The real question is, what are we a slave to??

Re: //*\\ Qabeelat Ittihaad GEMS //*\\
In the early Makkan period, Allah azza wa jal swears by many things in different verses that are very well known to the Arabs listening to the message at the time. Examples of this include the pregnant camel (one of their most prized belongings), the stars (used as GPS/navigation), the female infant buried alive (a practice of jahilyiah), etc...
These verses are a LOT more powerful and meaningful if one understands the culture and life these arabs had. When Allah swears by the pregnant camels for example, the verse is: "And when the pregnant she-camels are neglected" (Surah Takweer). To the arabs, this is a shocker because this animal is highly regarded due to its promise of giving a new life/baby camel, providing milk to feed the tribe, etc. So it was unheard of to have these abandoned yet this is one way Allah describes the day of resurrection... Allah calls their attention to the things they know of!

Re: //*\\ Qabeelat Ittihaad GEMS //*\\
"There are 4 main books revealed: Zabur, Torah, Injeel and the Quran. The first three books are summarised in the Quran, the Quran is summaried in Surah Fatiha and Surah Fatiha is summarised in "Iyyaka Na'budu wa iyyaka Nasta'en"
Thus the entire religion, the entire purpose boils down to one ayah: Ya Allah, To Thee we Worship and to Thee we ask for help. |

Everything that happens to the believer is good. If in hard times, then it might be a test or a way of raising his/her status, if in good times then it's a blessing from Allah. So always be happy.

Quran could be:
1) Information (targeted toward our mind) 2) Inspirational (targeted toward our heart) 3) Confrontational 4) Transformational (this is what the Quran is all about, it always has positive transformation, whereby when it enters a person's heart its affect moves onto a person life so the person starts living the Quran) |

When someone is sitting in a gathering of Ilm, sit there with the intention of teaching the material after and not just the intention of learning. Because when you make the intention of teaching the material afterwards then you are more focused and will absorb the material more.

When Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu Alayhi Wasalaam went to Khadija after the first visitation of Jibreel, he was not afraid that she would judge him or question his mental state, instead she was comforting, and had full trust in his qualities that she listed while consoling him. This shows the level of friendship, love, understanding that we should all actualize in our families.
