Question about talismens

Asalamu alaykum

I was reviewing talismens, and was wondering if it was considered bidah if someone hung something on their wall (islamic calligraphy, duahs, quranic verses etc) but do not associate supernatural power to the object, merely one is doing it to decorate their home, and make it look nice, or for the duah in instance to memorize it. Would this be considered bidaah or impermissible?

I suggest decorating your heart with the Quran and using the Quran as a talisman to protect your heart.

Maybe it'd be better to put up translations of the ayahs on the wall as reminders? Hmmm?

I stuck up photocopies from my mushaf of some surahs by my bed for reciting before I go to sleep (i.e. Surah Mulk, Amana Rusul, last 10 ayahs of Surah Ale Imran--other surahs I want to put up are Surah Dukhan and Surah Sajdah). Now, I rarely forget to recite them.
