Re: Divine Link || Q.Tayybah GeMzZz

When we go to a store that has only a certain kind of item that they sell, we get extremely bored and even leave the store quickly after perusing through the isles for a short time. We enjoy stores with a variety of items and so on. This is the same with the prayer. The prayer isn't just ony specific act one way, 5 times a day. The fajr is 2 rakah, the zuhr asr and isha is 4, the maghrib is 3 and there are so many salaat in between that can be made with different intentions, for different occassions, for different purposes and subhanAllah its perfected for us in such a way so that we do not get bored be'idhnillah.

Human beings are made up of two entities: soul and body. Just like the body needs nourishment such as food, drink and sleep the soul also needs spiritual uplifting (food for the soul) such as salah.

The men need to get up from bed or whatever they are doing and walk/drive to the masjid. The woman can pray at home all while getting the same reward! Alhumdulillah!

The individual prayers are no less important than the congregational ones subhanAllah!

Re: Divine Link || Q.Tayybah GeMzZz

What a blessing it is to know that we can pray specific prayers for special needs for example:
1) salatul tawba-make wudu & ask for forgiveness
2) istikaraa: make wudu and make istikaraa

The fact that we can perform salaat for specific causes, reminds us to REMEMBER Allah in ALL occasions.
*EVERYTHING we do has a specific REASON*

As we love variety and freedom of choice, Allah gave us various ways of praying to him.

Re: Divine Link || Q.Tayybah GeMzZz

Do we obligate the children at 6am if they aren't of age? No.
We train the children to pray from age 7-10 where they get accustomed to the general rulings and by age 15 it becomes mandatory for every Muslim to pray regardless of whether they consider themselves to have reached puberty(majority of the ulema agree on this).

We start at age 7 because it is a good age for them to learn and we can teach them at age 5 if it isn't a burden and it isn't hard. If it is hard for them, then go easy on them inshAllah.

Re: Divine Link || Q.Tayybah GeMzZz

A convert is exempt from fulfilling the five daily prayers right away. It is a duty for a Muslim to teach them properly and of course it is also their responsibility to learn and they can gradually learn and become used to it and inshAllah Allah will accept their prayers.

Islam is a easy realigion perfected for you and me, subhanAllah!
