We never take one verse in the Qur'aan and ignore all the rest.

Would Europeans be considered People of the Book?
Since Europe has become a land with little to no religion in most parts, the answer was a no in general.
Why? One example:
More Muslims go to the Masjid in the UK every Friday than Christians who go to Church on Sunday even though Muslims are only 3% of the UK's population.

If the halaal butcher doesn't show up in the masjid for months, you have the right to ask what is going on. And it would probably be better for you to find a new one.

This does not mean to spy on them but if suspicion is reasonable, it is not unIslamic to be carefu

For those who would refuse to pray behind a brother who follows Imam Ash-Shafi'ee's opinion on eating burgers from McDonald's,
are you saying that if Imam Ash-Shafi'ee were in front of you that you would not pray behind him?

"I consider it an honor to take Sh. Yaser out for dinner even though I do not share his opinion [on eating non-zabiha meat]."

May Allah bless all our Shuyookh & allow them to keep taking each other out for meals. Ameen.

Re: Precious Provisions || Q.Tayybah GeMzZz

Kosher is more halal than halal is halal.
Why?
It is so much more regulated in this country than halal food is. It is a crisis to Jews if a manufacturing plant does not have a rabbi there to supervise the food but with us, we only have the butcher and his word.

Plus the amount of Jews who keep kosher are about 10-15% but with Muslims, a lot more eat if not buy halal.

Ibn 'Uthaymeen said that the Shari'ah did not come with specific numbers for the amounts of everything. You have to use your common sense.
