As-salaamu 'alaikum,

Coolness, my brother.

Just a quick suggestion: have you looked into the grammatical correctness of the phrase "Ashabul La Adree"? Maybe you can have an Arabic speaker check it out.

Wa Allahu a'lam.

You know what - I can't take it anymore. I'm going to spill the beans.

Wareeene Shatartak - Show me your goodness

The problem is - this is an Egyptian phrase. Egyptians misuse the word Shaatir. Everyone thinks it means good, great, excellent, etc..etc. I don't know how the meaning deviated. But...in Arabic (Classical - Fus'ha) it means, slyness, cunningness, conspirator-kind of thing.

So I propose somewhat of a slight deviation.

Wareene 'Halawatak - Show me your sweetness

I still use the word Shaatir to indicate goodness, but that's becuase I'm Egyptian So no one can object - But since many are not Egyptians, they don't have the right (i.e...excuse) to use it that way.

...

Concerning the phrase, "Ashabul La Adreee".

Are you trying to say, "Friends, I don't know" ...or "The 'I don't know' friends"

Hehehe... something tells me you haven't attended an AlMaghrib seminar... yet (in sha Allah).

It's just become a part of the AlMaghrib culture.

I think anyone who's Muhammad Alshareef's student (or an AlMaghrib student for that matter), has the right, by default, to say "Wareenee Shatartak!", wa Allahu a'lam.

Come to Houston for the next AlMaghrib class and we'll show you the ropes, in sha Allah! We'd love to host you! So, wareenee shatartak!

I think he means "The people of 'I don't know'". Wa Allahu a'lam.

wAllahu 'alam.
I believe (someone can correct me) that it should be: "Ashabu La Adree"

bu, instead of bul

I was just making Duaa' for us - lol

Concerning the phrase.

It's a مضاف and a مضاف إليه (It's a grammar term, I don't know it in English). The مضاف إليه should have an Al- الْ

An example from the Qura'aan. 5:10

أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ

The People of Hellfire

Another example, 2:82

أَصْحَابُ الْْجَنَّةِ

The People of Jannah

Hence, there should be an Al- there. Making it - Ashaab ul-. But you can only add Al's to nouns. ...And, "Laa Adree" is not a noun, it's an entire sentence. lol

Point being, this statment is not valid in Arabic...So just follow, the MishMishy rule and make it -

Ashaab ul-"Laa Adree waAllaahu A'lam"
