Awesome thread, can't wait to see it filled with gems insha Allah! =) Gem: There is hikmah behind the Prophet, salAllahu alayhi wa sallam, not leaving behind a direct line of descendants. There can be descendants of the Prophet that have come through Fatima, his daughter, radiy Allahu anhaa, but not through a direct line. This protected the leadership for the most qualified and not to be passed on only because of blood ties or "claims" of a descendant. |

Teach kids that when you hear people calling you names, the Prophet was in the same situation, but he said, "They are not talking about me, they are talking about Mudhammam!"
(The unbelievers used to call the Prophet "Mudhammam," a name which meant "the most vilified one.") |

If there was a problem with Rasul-Allah (SA) marrying Aisha at the age that she was, his opponents would have used that to malign his reputation. (But since that was the norm, no one ever said a word against it, including Aisha.)

We don't need miraculously-shaped potatoes to prove that Muhammad was the messenger of Allah. So many people are constantly looking for these ways to prove their faith. All we need is the real source of evidence: Quran and Sunnah.

Our beds could be too comfortable for our own good. Instead of making us alert and ready for the day, it makes us sleepy and tired. Case in point: one night the Prophet missed qiyaam-ul-layl because of a four-layer bed. After that, he switched back to one layer.

People embraced Islam because He ([The Prophet] sal Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam) was merciful, even though He had the full rights to retaliate, he forgave instead.
