AlMaghrib Canada: Do you want AlMaghrib in your city?

As Irtiza says, PROVE IT!! (Not for the weak hearted)

In the efforts of different groups of people to bring AlMaghrib to their local city, I've seen different groups:

1. Those who think just because they sent an email, the AlMaghrib train will stop at their home and when it soon doesn't they soon give up.

2. Those who dream of AlMaghrib coming to their hometown, but haven't built up their community enough to be able to host a large event like the AlMaghrib seminars.

3. Those who work day and night, emailing, setting up websites, setting up mailing lists, creating buzz, creating excitement, dressed with undying conviction that AlMaghrib WILL be coming to town, printing AlMaghrib t-shirts, and seeking recognition from no one but ALLAH!!!

Guess to whom the AlMaghrib class goes to?

In the push to take AlMaghrib to Canada, I will not spoon feed anyone. If you want AlMaghrib you are going to need to prove it! If a community does not show desire to study, we will move the instructors to locations where the community members DO want to study. Those that win the AlMaghrib classes in their city will, in sha Allah, reap years and years of knowledge, great teachers, and massive Khayr, bi tawfeeqillah. Those that do not will have students travelling by plane, train and automobile to those Ferroro Foeva cities

C'mon Canada, let's stand up and open a new page! Which city are you from and how can you help?

Its got to be Montreal.. I mean honestly.. its got to be the city. Do you all hear me? Montreal it is.. the city will be the hub of Almaghrib in Canada. Alhumdulillah we have workers who can precisely be described as above. From booking rooms to setting up websites, mailing lists... the youth are passionate to learn and are just awaiting the right opportunity. I am already starting to create the buzz.

Ustadh when will you be coming? I think you said somewhere that the first class could be in January? oh no but not in Ottawa... in MONTREAL.

Someone tell me please what is the procedure of organizing almaghrib seminars?

I must agree...the Muslim community needs alMaghrib to truly florish. We already have so much setup here, walhamdolilah...we just need Muhammad al-Sharif to co-ordinate and we'll be set inshAllah

So it's settled inshAllah...Montreal it is

Well, akhee, for starters, you should probably spell his name the way he prefers..."Muhammad Alshareef"...and the name of the institute is "AlMaghrib Institute". This is the spelling that should be used in promotions, fliers, posters, etc...

Believe me, it's better you get it straightened out now than AFTER you've already paid hundreds of dollars for promotional materials...: -D

I personally think that Br. u should start from Toronto first cuz Toronto has a greater
Population of Muslims
It will be easier for u to find instructors in Toronto….like Sh. Abdul Hamid or Sh. Afraz Baksh.

Arguably, you could probably have three AlMaghrib courses running simultaneously just due to the sheer size of the Muslim community here.

There's a good infrastructure here insha'Allah to support AlMaghrib...with the brother's from YM (both YM's), but I can only vouch for the west end (Mississauga etc).
