Shoora Solicited (C): Cool Idea...- AlMaghrib Calendar

Bismillah,

I was just browsing the site when i came across the CALENDAR section. (on the top toolbar).

SubhanAllah, it's such a useful tool. We can be SO much more organized if we utilize it inshAllah.

We get so many questions: "when is this class... when is the next khutbah, etc." NOW we can just say "go look at the calendar " (inshAllah ta'la).

It would be very benificial... and we can at LEAST have "TBA" announcements of TENTATIVE dates for the next classes on there.

FEEDBACK?

JazakumAllahukhair

Assalamu-Alaikum,

What about Qabeela Calendars available online...not only containing Al-Maghrib class information but various other Qabeela projects and events.

MashAllah, that would be another awesome idea.

We can have links to each Qabeelah and then short links within the days that the certain programs are happening in each Qabeelah.

LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN INSHALLAH!

What do you think sh.Muhammad? Akhi AbuHurayrah?

Smoooooooth idea.

It would also clearly indicate to the rest of us when other Qaba'il are going to have their classes/exams so we can better understand the present situations of our bros/sisters in the different cities.

Let's make it happen inshAllah.

To alleviate the pressure on akhi AbuHurayrah.. we can have an OFFICIAL ALMAGHRIB CALENDAR BROTHER/SISTER or "Bookie"

All the activities to be posted on the Calendar have to go through him/her.

Good idea?

Let's make it HAPPEN! inshAllah

The only reason I don't want to take off with this idea just yet is that I am not 100% sure about how to setup permissions on the calendar properly. I love the idea, however, and we can give every Instructor, Ameer, EmanRush rep, or otherwise suitable members the necessary access to add and edit events.

I've just never looked into it, and we tried it out with Muhammad for a few weeks, and then the usage just fizzled out. I guess it's time for a revival.

Okay...let's mark this as a task to be done next week. At that point, I will take it upon myself to contact all the necessary people that would need access to the calendar, and I will setup permissions accordingly, in shaa Allaah, so that we can maximize this benefit.

Jazaakum Allaahu Khayra!!! : -D

I am not to big a fan of vbulletins built in calendar application, I don't find it all to easy to use, etc.

But the idea itself is cool.

Re: Shoora Solicited (C): Cool Idea...- AlMaghrib Calendar

Yeah I figured there would reside some glitches just by looking how it's set up... But inshAllah, it shouldn't be too big of a hassle.

Also, sh.Muhammad can add this to his "LIWAA FORMULA," i.e. which Qabeelah REMAINS active even AFTER the class is over! THIS WOULD BE THE EPITOME OF MOMENTUM vs. MOTIVATION.

Feedback from the Shiekh?
