Re: The Light of Guidance: testimonials and ambiance
Everything the Shaykh said in this class had meaning...not a moment was
wasted. It is so basic yet very misunderstood concept. Tawheed Your understanding of this concept can mean the difference between heaven and hell.

Re: The Light of Guidance: testimonials and ambiance
Asslam Alikum wr wb,
just wanted to say that as i was leaving this class last night, two girls stopped me and asked why is your friend covering her face. of course,Yasir Qadhi's statement that first thing you call people to is Tawheed was so fresh in my mind that i didnt even think twice b4 saying "in order for you to grasp this, you have to understand the concept of worship in islam which is built on the statement that there is no diety worthy of worship except for Allah(arabic name for God)" so i went on explaining her and Alhamdulillah for LOG in NYCCCCCCCCCCC... shout out to hibs for choosing LOG

If that made no sense to you, it's a Hosna thing. But even if you do not speak Hosna, you will feel the Iman rush in this class. If you don't, you've got a serious pulse problem, or worse. Jazak Allah khair, Yasir, again, and jazak Allah khair to Al Maghrib for continuing to offer this class. If there were any classes worth teaching twice in the same Qabeelah, this one and Khulufaa would be the two. Hands down. (at least until I take my fifth class...)

Re: The Light of Guidance: testimonials and ambiance
![]() Alhamdolillah, I got to take both Aqeedah 101 and 102 this year -- talk about the twin towers of Iman! You need these classes. Read that again -- YOU need these classes. Aqeedah 101 gives you strength in tawheed of ruboobiyyah and uloohiyyah, and it gives you a foundation for tawheed of asmat wa sifat. But Aqeedah 102 is THE ROCKET SHIP of tawheed of asmat wa sifat because in this class you get a real taste of what it means to say that Allah's Names and Attributes are HOSNA, and I N F I N I T E! You will never know every aspect of His Majesty in this lifetime, and that's awesome because His Majesty will always be greater! Does that mean you can skip 101? NO! Because 101 will literally keep you grounded. Without it, you will not fully comprehend how scary and pervasive shirk and bidah are. So, take both classes now -- and maybe you can be the second person to take them in the same year.

Alhumdulilah As Sabiqoon's first class was a success! The wealth of knowledge that we gained from this class is astonishing. Light of Guidance is extremely essential and necessary class for everyone to take. Shaykh Yasir, may Allah reward him is an exceptional teacher. I cannot wait to take Aqeedah 102. When will this be coming to New York?

Re: The Light of Guidance: testimonials and ambiance
Think the meaning of the kalima is "there is no god but allah and Muhammad (PBUH) is his messenger"...think again!!! this is what we are taught in our regular sunday school courses and yet if we take this explanantion ....then we are unable to refute the statement that even the kuffars of the times of the prophet (PBUH) believed in one god, one creator of all things so why did hey fight with the muslims? why did they try to kill Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and get rid of Islam? SH. Yasir Qadhi goes into an in depth expalnation as to what saying this kalima means and how that sets us apart from others and what things we do in our everyday lives that can contradict the meaning of this great kalima. For me personally by taking this class I understood why Islam is so great and was able to gain an in depth explanaton of the basics of Islam ...It is so much easier now to explain to people what Islam is all about. Also this class just increases your thirst for more knowledge ....because you realize how little understanding we really have of our deen and we need to learn and implement as much as we can of our religion. There is no such thing as boredom after you take this class because you realize how much there is to learn and implement that it would keep you busy for a whole lifetime .....This class changes your heart and if you are looking to put your heart at peace and discover something that will reap you benefits in this world and in the hereafter...this class is not to be missed.....Words cannot describe how great it is but I tried. Wallahu Alim.
