possession questions
bismillah.
I had two lines of questions about possession, Shaykh Waleed, while going over my notes. I have done a search of the ROF forum, and did not see these questions covered, so forgive me, please, if I was not thorough enough. First -- of those whom you have witnessed freed from possession, ma sha Allah and alhamdolillah, did they report later that they had been aware of their possessed state, or were they unaware? and if the latter, what did they perceive? it seems that in some of the cases from class, it was a torment for them, especially for the sister with the embedded needles. was it torturous for all of them? and if it was a torment for them, does that mean it was a purification for them, inshaAllah? Second -- is the state of possession for the possessed at all like the state of the one in the coma from which the doctors have given up hope, in that they are rewarded for whatever good had been their habit to do? and if not, is the reason that the state of the possessed is an open evil that should and must be challenged, so that there is no good in saying, "let him be"?
