Tabi'i is someone who came after the Prophet (saw) died, but saw a Sahaba. (ex. Imam Malik). A Tabi'i tabi'i is someone who saw a Tabi'i.

Ali Ibn AbiTalib had married Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet (saw). He was the first boy to accept Islam at 10 years old. He was the cousin of the Prophet (saw) and was raised by him.
