Assalaamu'Alaykum,
Some interesting points about walis of Allah: 1- They do exist 2- No one knows who they are 3- They are so humble and think so little of themselves, why then would they ever think of calling themselves a wali? So anyone who calls themselves a wali or allows others to treat them like that is not a wali. 4- Even if a person is a wali it doesn't mean they have super powers. 5- If they were given a karamaat (like a miracle) they would hide it from others out of humility 6- Anyone demonstrating mystical powers is a fraud or a magician 7- We do believe in karamaat, but it is something that cannot be controlled and it does not make someone a wali!

Shirk is to give the rights of Allah to other than Allah
--> Barakah is a right of Allah!
